Speculation: Danny Welbeck

On Monday, after a long morning of revision, I decided to treat myself to a sandwich of the highest calibre in the popular Manchester University Oxford Road venue Kro Bar. After ordering a competitively priced steak sandwich I noticed a small gathering of youngish lads wearing full Manchester United tracksuits. Due to the afro I instantly recognised Rafael (turns out it was Fabio) and Danny Welbeck because he is always in the South Manchester Reporter for being a success story from Longsight. (Longshite)

Anyway, I decided to capitalise on this minor celebrity spot and asked for a couple of autographs - bit keen I know but I wanted proof to wind up Man Utd supporting housemates. They were clearly happy to be recognised and were very friendly, clearly not corrupted by celebrity just yet. As a departing comment I said "feel free to sign for Reading at any point", Fabio just laughed (dickhead) but Welbeck said Reading were a good team and he was expecting to go out on loan before United had an injury crisis.

Anyway, that was it until I got a bit excited about the wording of Welbeck's answer. Did he mean just out on loan or on loan to Reading? What a mystery.

Nothing more than mutual respect for another football club.

I can't see Coppell wanting another striker when he clearly see's something many don't in Long, and Lita giving his all for us at the moment.

Looks a good striker though, but not coming here.
