SPECULATION - Damien Plessis

RAFA READY TO LEND PLESSIS

RAFA BENITEZ wants to loan out midfield rookie Damien Plessis to a Championship side.
The Liverpool manager believes French lad Plessis, 20, has the potential to be a Kop star.
But he has lost his way since being man of the match against Arsenal on his Premier League debut a year ago.
A few lower league clubs want Plessis for the rest of the season.
Our midfield certainly can't get much worse.

Yeah why not? Plessis has looked a decent player whenever he`s` been on tv in Champions league games. Or we could just sit back and watch him go to Wolves or Cardiff!!!! Get him in and give the lad a shot, put him alongside Cisse in the middle of the park.

Has he ever played for Brentford or Brighton?? - if not , then no chance

I think Plessis is a defensive midfielder, in which case I don't think it would be good to play him alongside Cisse as there would be no contrast with them both looking to fulfil the same role. If we did bring him in I would prefer him to start alongside Marek.

I think we should go for it if we get relegated to League One, he'll find his level there.

I think we'd have a hard time convincing even the FA to let this through as an emergency loan given our midfield options of Matejovsky, Harper, Cisse, Gunnarsson, Karacan, Tabb and maybe even Bikey

Isn't the title emergency loan just a load of old bollocks though ?
I think the terms are just slightly different (recall periods possibly) to a standard loan and you are limited to how many of these players you can play at any one point in time.
Otherwise surely the only position you can really make a case for an emergency loan is for a goalkeeper ?
