Hob Nob Anyone?

There's a very thin rumour running on the Norwich board that Sammy Clingan told someone's mate that Reading had put in a bid for him.

Doubt it's true to be honest but he is certainly the best player at Norwich and would do well for us in a holding role. Similar player to Harper but better passer and takes a mean free kick.

Thought he did ok against us. Can he tackle?

I thought he was their only decent player in the 2-0 win up there, not a bad shout especially if we can get 1 or 2 bits of the dross off the wage bill.

Oh, I'll try and find out what I can. I was hoping we'd go in for Lee Croft.

Will we also be looking out for players called Romulan or Kirk?

Agreed out of the clubs to go down I think Clingan, Bailey and Surman will all be coveted. Personally out of the 3 I'd like us to sign Surman as SHunts replacement as a priority, but either of the others would make a good additiona, although we currently have loads of central midfielders.

Croft is actually crap but Clingan would be a good addition. Croft is going to Derby in any case.

I wouldn't. The 'appy rabbit will be pressing ahead as always. Players will have been identified well in advance and Hammond will be trying to do business, I'm sure.

I was just looking through through each of the relegated clubs squads to see who would be a decent addition to ours, top three would propably have to be Charlton's Nicky Bailey, bagged 12 goals from midfield this season a few crackers if i remember rightly too & described as a box-to-box midfielder somethings we've been lacking since Sidder's left so worth a shout. Southampton's David McGoldrick - Managed to net 12 goals this season & described on the saints site as a powerfully built youngster with an assured touch he can finish and create chances and forms an excellent link between the midfield and forwards. To me sounds like a kitson of old esc player but with youth on his side at only 21 years old. Then finally agreeing with this topic of touting Sammy Clingan as a good signing, I have always been impressed by him both at Forest & Norwich, Hes got one hell of a strike & a good set-piece taker which we seem to lack! Would have quite liked to have gone after the keeper David Marshall from Norwich too but hes just been snapped up by Cardiff! Not too sure about Surman as a direct replacement for S.Hunt as suggested by others, he is not an out-and-out winger which is what i hope we will go after so we can go back of playing the quick counter attacking football of the promotion season where our wingers played a integral part!

Three times at Carrow Rd this season when visiting family. How about yourself?

He's very highly regarded at Norwich.
