Csaba László

OK, lads. 1st post so go easy!
There's whispers within the corridors of power within Tynecastle, current home of Heart of Midlothian (for how much longer, who knows?), that our current coach and manager, Csaba László, has been sounded out about the incumbent Reading job.
This is not a surprise. He's propelled our club from 8th to 3rd in his 1st season with a squad made up of what I can best describe as journeymen and loanees from Lithuania. We are teetering on the brink of insolvency with debts of £40M+ with our best players being offloaded to all and sundry in a vain attempt to ease the wage burden. Back-dated wages and bonuses are still due to many players and staff and our club is in severe crisis. HMRC are also breathing down our necks. I won't go on, but could!
Rumours are rife on the Hearts fans messageboards that László is offski with Reading FC being his new destination. The Scottish Sun (who are usually spot on with their stories) have today reported a fall-out between László and our owner, Vladimir Romanov. Not surprisingly, money (or lack of) is cited as the reason for the tiff, but the story on the street in Edinburgh is that Romanov has gotten wind that Reading have been in touch.
We're not certain that László will even take his place on the bench for this weekends match against Celtic. He's seemingly been told to "go sick".
Admittedly, this is a mere rumour, but trusted folks in the know within HoMFC have collaborated this story over the last 24 hours and there seems to be more than some truth in it.
All the best.

Spooky how his first name is almost an anagram of one of our ex players.
Seals it for me.....

Sounds like a recipe for a disaster really. Scottish signings made by a manager who over-rates the strength of the Scottish league are rarely successful in England.
It would be a change thought: we really do need a surpise. I already feel a little bored of Brendan Rogers as manager.
I like his name as well and if it means any tall female Lithuanian football fans, with bad English and heavy accents, start descending on the Madejski it can only be a good thing. I would be very helpful and welcoming.

Cheers for the rumour, but one thing that stands out for me is the implication that we have approached the manager WITHOUT going through the club first; not saying we would never do that, but our track record up to now has been to go through the correct channels if we want a manager who is currently employed.
Good luck to Hearts.

Exactly, and for that reason this is total bollocks.

The rag that "gets it right" is trashed on the Hearts forums
The only mention of Reading is very vague, by one poster
and just as an example.
Looks like tosh to me

The Hearts messageboards also seem pretty certain that Ruel Fox will be his first signing.
Good call imho.

Csaba László's barmy army!
Not quite got the same ring to it as 'Stevie Coppell's barmy army', but given the Eastern European name for our stadium, it seems to fit quite well. Plus he probably doesn't want much money, so he's perfect.

This is still no more than idle gossip however embellished and as such should be consigned to "unfounded rumour and gossip".
Probably some Chinese gambling consortium trying to influence betting patterns!
His first name is way to much like Carl Asaba and the little inflections would be way too complicated for the megastore staff anyway. No chance.

This could well be a Wolves fan on the wind up. During the Cristophe Berra (will he, won't he sign) someone named Dexter left plenty of messages on the Wolves forum claiming to be one of the mods on the Hearts forum and knowing everything. There is a moderator named Dexter on the Hearts forum but it wasn't him posting, I think it was a Baggies fan in the end. Maybe a Wolves fan is now doing the same to us.
I'd treat it with a very large pinch of salt.

His CV features a period as Uganda team coach. It was not particularly successful, and opinion in the Ugandan press appears to be that he was a waste of space. Link to the Ugandan Observer article below:
http://www.observer.ug/index.php?option ... &Itemid=80
One section in particular seals it for me:
"One would have expected the self-confessed chess player to handle a team with utmost delicateness; instead, it seems, Csaba would have carved out a great career in kick-boxing and perhaps would have been a serious contender for the World Vulgar Championships title (if it existed). By the time he left, he could have broken more tables, chairs, cups and tea flasks than the number of times he watched Super League matches. His fight with Ronald Muganga punctuated with F-lettered words still baffles many."
That is a long way removed from most people's idea of a Reading manager.
No thank you.

I have a friend who is a huge Hearts fan. I think I'll get in touch with him and tell him I think this story is a load of bollocks.

Are Wolves fans going to look at us as rivals now? When they are about to play Man Utd in the Prem will they all be reminiscing about the wind-ups they played on the mighty Reading.

YLUDA's fans will alway see us as rivals. They'll never get over their thrashings. A bunch of truly pathetic and bitter fans.
Definitely a wind up by someone but to be honest I quite enjoy it: gives us something to talk about. Thank you Tredder/SDR/dan0green, whoever it is. And long may it continue. This period of waiting is getting booooooooooooooring!
