Reading have completed the signing of full back Wayne Bridge on a free transfer from Manchester City. Just four years ago Bridge was a player worth 12 million pounds as City signed the England International from Chelsea. Chelsea paid Southampton 7 million pounds for the player in 2003. Far from being "past it" Bridge had an excellent full season on loan at Brighton last term. Bridge was named as the Championship's best left back as Brighton had a great season.
Bridge has also had loan spells at Fulham and, more recently, West Ham and Sunderland after losing his place in both the Manchester City and England line-ups. Bridge certainly comes to Reading with plenty of experience and more than enough quality for a season in the Championship.
