Re: "One More Player"

Seal Peter Coates does not bankroll Stoke, I can guarantee you that.

soggy biscuit Wikifailia

Indeed. Peter Coates only has 8% share in bet365.

Re: "One More Player"

Really MMM show me all these clubs that have actually sourced investment. Most of them have mortgaged their future against hoped for income. There is not a queue of buyers or banks or financial institutions looking to plough money in even though you still dream they will. Football has become riskie...

Re: "One More Player"

To quote Dickens : "Annual income twenty pounds, annual expenditure nineteen nineteen six, result happiness. Annual income twenty pounds, annual expenditure twenty pounds ought and six, result misery." Seems some people think it's the other way round. (oh and there will be plenty of good ...

Re: "One More Player"

Christ, this is the same argument as the last time sold a player for millions. We had a four million deficit in the budget. It is not sold by one big player going because the fee will only save you for one year, without seeing the accounts we don't know how much of that deficit has been plugged, we...

Re: Madejski's Wallet - Is It Our Business?

Alright then so if MADEJSKI, in some strange world, threw 400 billion pounds at the club, we wouldn't go up? thats wrong. Money gets you success sadly. Doesn't matter who's throwing it, just needs someone who can throw. But Madejski hasn't got it, you are whinging because he's not investing, but he...

Re: demonstration

Then he should sell the club, he will never get as much as he wants for it and the longer he stays and sells our best prospects he will end up losing more money. Sell up, move on..... Simply as that. Cos of course, there are loads of people wanting to buy aren't there? I don't know about you...

Re: Dave Kitson sell on fee

We wouldn't have a sell on clause would we, given that the pots paid us 5.5million in the first place? Well the E-Po seem certain we have a sell-on fee and it would make good sense to have insisted on one when we sold him. I would hope we did the same with Doyle. Stoke didn't pay anything like that...

Re: Reading vs Forest(H) Match Thread (3/46)

retro royal If SJM can't afford to run the club then give it back to the people of Reading, or sell it to a decent individual. SJM saved RFC but now seems to strangling the club.

And what exactly would we do with it? Who would cover the losses - personally I dont have a few million lying around...

Re: Dave Kitson

What I don't get is, if Kitson had been such a disruptive force in the dressing room and had fallen out with everybody - what was he doing in th Players Lounge and why does he keep coming back? Anyway, he's playing for Stoke at the minute and seems to be winning the fans over slowly. He's not fit en...

Re: McAnuff's red card

The footage is up on Reading World or whatever it's called.. WBA player kicked ball from about 6 yards into Jobi's back. Jobi goes over, WBA player pushes him, Jobi grabs him. Officials only saw the end of it. Logical conclusion, that the West Brom player would also get a red card as they both deser...

Don't think anyone who was there knew. Too busy celebrating. It went totally mental. Can't be arsed to start back from the game thread but we were pretty shit for the entire 2nd half but then played well in extra time. Kebe was probably our best player.
