Re: Could we be involved in a relegation battle?

Terminal Boardom I think that it is fair to assume that there will be at least 3 teams worse than us this season. Barnsley, Plymouth, Watford, Scunny, and Palace just for starters. We will be fine. Mid table at worst, play-offs at best.

as was said the year we came down from the prem, anything could happen.

Re: Random paragraph

nah that sounds wrong, there is a possibility we might play anyone, but it is fact that we will play all the teams in our league, plus whoever we have got in the milk cup.

Re: The Great Bus Rip Off

What is the cost for a return ticket on a no 5/6 bus to Basingstoke Road, does anyone know? Two bus prices in the "greater Reading urban area" (or whatever thay call it now). £1.70 for a single £3.50 for an all day bus-about (unlimited trips) so if you need to go into town, or use the bus...

Re: Sshh! It's how we operate.

we still have a player on £1m a year, so we would do well to have a wage bill of just £3m, some folk need to get real with reality.

Re: Rodgers needs two to complete jigsaw - from The Chronic

you have £6, so can buy 3 pints of Skol, or 2 of Stella, or I guess you could try the route of lager topped, which is a tad cheaper.

Re: Rodgers needs two to complete jigsaw - from The Chronic

lets put it into a context you might understand spacey, £2 for a pint of Skol or £3 for a pint of Stella, one will get you where you want to get faster, the other may or may not. which option would you go for??

Smee was in it for the long run, plans for a new ground at rivermead, 10-000 capacity if i am right, just that Smee was in property, and when that nose dived it really nosedived for many a year, Smee just went skint, but now is doing well for himself again. http://hobnob.royals.org/forum/viewtopic....

Re: Rodgers needs two to complete jigsaw - from The Chronic

Posts that do not have insults are much better, mr Madjeski has the club at heart, many of us do not believe that we are good enough, same as last season, mid table mediocrity anyone, and the season before, when many said we needed to build on 8th as we would be found out, all seems to have come tru...

Re: Sshh! It's how we operate.

Just a small point - it would have been impossible for JM to have taken us over 3/4 years ago as we wouldn't have existed. Anyway, carry on with the toy-throwing. yes we would, just not as we exist now, not one League club has gone out of business in the last gawd knows how long, someone would have...

Re: Sshh! It's how we operate.

The answer to clubs similar to us are wimbledon, Fulham, Wigan, QPR, Watford, Hull and Stoke are about to enter season number two. Add to that Swindon and Oxford, and many clubs have enjoyed a period of success. As for Fae and Halford, who identified the players brought in, was it Coppell, or did Ha...

Re: Sshh! It's how we operate.

TY Ian, we bought prem players at the low end, take a look at the players at other clubs, and using that as a measure it seemed inevitable that we were not willing/able to compete. hence relegation beckoned, though still should have been avoided, though probably for only one more season, as SC was s...

Re: Sshh! It's how we operate.

What we had after finishing 8th was the core of a decent side that needed the signing of 3/4 players of the quality of Doyle, Hunt, Kitson, Shorey, Sidwell, to add to the team. Those players would have cost 4 to 5 million each at that time, what we got was Kebe, Cisse etc, Halford at around the £2m...
