Re: The a result of the Day Thread

Cocu will go first won't he, after all according to Sky Sports its already Wayne Rooney's Derby County.

Old Man Andrews Hope he stays fit

Isn't he already injured? Or was that just an excuse put out by Bale/Madrid* once he'd got back from International duty.

Re: UEFA Nations League

Was amazed to read this morning that inclusive of his appearance as a sub against Iceland (perhaps only because Walker got sent off), TAA has just ten England caps. Why on earth isn't he one of the first names on the teamsheet? Southgate's formation? It is easy to forget how short a time Trent has ...

Re: The generic transfer thread

Maybe I should cut him a bit of slack. Players can take a season or so to fully get going again after serious injuries.

Re: The generic transfer thread

If he was 4 years younger I'd probably agree as I'd think he'd get better and more consistent. But at 28 that one good season sticks out as the outlier not the ones surrounding it. But with Bournemouth being that bad last season its maybe harsh to point at his goal tally.

He's only had one decent season in the Premier League hasn't he? Otherwise a 5-10 goals a season striker.

If the Portugal shirt had been a Sampdoria-esque single set of stripes it would have been nice.

Old Man Andrews Does anyone actually believe the Greek police?

Not sure Maguire's "some Albanians injected my sister with drugs"* defence definitely sounds 100% legit.

Re: Champions League/Europa League 2019/20

A bit odd that the morning after a Champs League final played between what are considered to be 2 attractive footballing sides there are no comments on a site that is ostensibly to do with football. Are we that insular that people didn't watch nor care because it was a couple of foreign sides playi...

Fans will see the letters W, N, E woven into the design on the back of the shirts echoing the Gaffer’s ‘Want, Need, Expect’ mantra: If we WANT to win, we NEED to prepare properly and get everything right and then we can EXPECT to win.

The gaffer needs another mantra for the letters A K and R.

WestYorksRoyal I like to think that, if fans speculating on a forum know enough to foresee future loopholes, the EFL with their knowledge and experience can see them too and design the rules in a way that shut them down.

Re: New Kits 2019/20

The three stripes should obvs go down the sleeves too but I really don't mind that. Is that the away kit? What happened to your away kit being a different colour from your home kit to avoid clashes? Well, other than the ripping the fans off for more money to buy a 3rd kit.

Will they be able to keep Fernandes when a big club* comes in for him? Pogba must h8 him, any chance of a move away to the likes of Real Madrid have been scuppered as he gets out played by his team mate every week.

Re: The generic transfer thread

Can't see why any of the top 4 would be buying him anyway. He's a bit Ross Barclay* but with more points on his driving licence. If I were Dortmund I'd be pissing myself laughing if Man United were thinking of buying him instead of Sancho and adding another few £M to the price. * yeah I know he's at...

Re: The generic transfer thread

Wondering where Grealsih will end up, had him down at Leicester if they sold Maddison. Think Arsenal could do a lot worse than go for Grealish as an Ozil replacement. Is he an Arteta type of player? Obvs he's a really good player and Arsenal/Spurs is the kind of level he'd fit in well at rather tha...

Re: Next seasons kit choice?

Socks aren't great and I hope the quality control improves for the actual kit, the blue band doesn't line up properly on the back of the one in the web store. I know having a pointless stupid pattern is the current trend but the home shirt would look nicer without the patterned shoulders. Away shirt...

SouthDownsRoyal Will forest drop out the top six due to Reading being rubbish?

Was about to post that. Forest could be about to do the most spectacular job of throwing it away

Topped off with a lovely own goal.
Nice to have a final day of mentalness
