How good is Quansah btw? I know some of the dippers on here rate him but they also said the same about Gomez Much like the fuss around Mainoo I reckon. Very good player there already and could turn out to be excellent within a couple of seasons but hyped a bit too much given the number of games pla...
Fortunately Toney has progressed so that any injury to Kane would not now be a national disaster. Has he? He's not been that good since he came back from his ban and is a bit lucky to be in the provisional squad. So who would you have taken in his place? Yeah, there lies the problem Kane is our onl...
WestYorksRoyal Assuming Shaw doesn't make it, who the hell starts at LB?
Trippier has done it before for England and Gomez has played there a fair bit for Liverpool this season. Not ideal but its the weakest part of our squad for depth and has been for a while.
They haven't even got anyone to sell for a vastly inflated price this season. I think the same about Brentford. For the smaller clubs with that kind of model there seems to be a limit on the number of years you can keep bucking the odds and uncover gems for peanuts.
I think it'll be quite amusing to watch Man U trying to off load the deadwood from their squad, attract a top class manager and sign better players if they're not in an European competition next season.
IIRC it was Adie Williams that was penalised for shirt pulling in the area one season-now shirt pulling is so often not penalised unless the shirt is nearly ripped off the player's back. These things just need consistency. If there's a shirt pull in the middle of the pitch its normally given as a f...
It's a shame that Spurs have to play Sheff U. Their fans deserve Newcastle and Chelsea to both win their last two games to go above them on goal difference on Sunday.
We're far better off trying to carefully build a competitive squad of good value by increments and taking a couple of years of substantial losses over going all out, likely failing and having to to it all again the next season, with spiralling wages and a huge loss. I think on balance at the moment...
I think it would be more amusing if ten Hag is still Man United manager and Sancho turned up for pre-season training wearing a Champions League winners medal.
Bit harsh to call Convey hit and miss. Ok it took him a while to settle but then he was brilliant until the bad knee injury that he never seemed to fully recover from. Hardly his fault. +1 Also one of the few (only?) Reading players to play in a World Cup Finals competition (in 2006) Hahnemann was ...

Black boots seem a bit more popular with the kids again at the moment. Even Jnr II who used to be keen on god awful coloured boots has a black pair at the moment. Still can't convince him that a nice pair of leather boots would protect his feet a lot better than a flimsy piece of plastic with a fabr...
Understood. File under sin bin then. Talking of sin bins, Jnr II's team had a bit of a maverick ref the other week. He decided sin bins were actually a thing and sent two players to the sin bin for 10 minutes towards the end of the match. Also gave a coach a yellow card for questioning it. Odd chap...
https://www.readingfc.co.uk/news/2024/april/27/team-news--reading-Blackpool-27apr24/ New kit? Sleeves different Unlikely but the kit they're wearing doesn't have the stupid "landmark" view on it. It's the new kit. Quite like it just needed trim from the arms on the collar. https://www.rea...
