Re: Keeping the squad together

I interpreted the article to mean that he feels he's building a squad that can challenge again and wants Kebe to be part of it. I'm not sure it was a moan as such. I think he just wants Kebe to stay, but is realistic enough to know that we may have to let him go to ensure we get a fee.

Re: Official: Adam Le Fondre signs for Reading

My only concern is why he has taken so long to reach this level of football with his excellent goal scoring record. ? Could be a reflection of English clubs being unwilling to take a chance on young players from our own lower leagues, maybe? We on the other hand, have a record of doing that...

Re: Charlton Away Match thread

I thought they said Khumalo was at fault? Friend at the ground says that Benson handballed it over the line. Not that it really matters, sounds like we've been dreadful all game anyway.

Re: FAO Daytrippers

I was embarrassed by my behaviour at certain points of the game, especially when I realised there were three VERY young children sat behind me (if you were the father of kids behind me in 137, I am sincerely sorry), but I really couldn't help myself. That game meant a lot and it hurt when we were d...

Re: Back from the game Derby (H)

Disjointed performance from us, probably down to the changes. Derby were loud enough, but the 'I wanna go home' song is embarrassing. LOL at Savage's hurt knee performance in the first half. Thought we started playing good football when Bryn came on. He put his foot on the ball, picked an easy pass ...

Because we won't be playing anyone from the Birmingham/North West area.

Re: BRING. FEDS. BACK. NOW.

As I said yesterday the notion that players with the sort of experience of Griff, Harte and Khiz need a 24 year old to tell them what to do or they'll fall apart is as laughable as the English idea that the Captaincy is the most important thing in football is outdated. Totally agree with you here, ...

Re: To all the fans who booed today

Regardless of our recent string of results, I don't think that many fans were in a contemplative mood at the final whistle. It's hard to look back over the past few months after a performance like that and think "Well, I was totally let down by my team today; but given the circumstances of the ...

Re: Back From The Game - Sheff Utd (H)

Well, the important thing to say after that is that we have just as much chance of being promoted now was we did before kick off. But frankly that was absolutely rancid today, to toss away a two goal lead against the bottom side who played us off the park after scoring their first. Doesn't bode wel...

Re: Leeds (A) match thread sponsored by the champions of Europe.

Leeds played out of their skin, some of our players had an off day, McDermott arguably made his first management gaff in two months. Happens in football. A clean sheet away from home against a side who are pushing for a playoff place is a decent result, despite our run of good form over the past cou...

Re: Back from the game - Preston

Not a great deal to say about the match. Preston were good from set pieces, but didn't get a shot on target all night I don't think and were very lucky with their goal. Not sure if McCarthy got a touch on the cross, but it hit the bottom of the post and went in off his back. Reading worked hard, but...

5 on the bounce, love it URZ! http://stats.football365.com/dom/ENG/D1/oform.html would mean we should be top of the form table now? edit: well I missed the one little "d" there.. so 2nd anyway ;) Of the teams currently occupying the bottom eight places in the form table, we still have to ...

Re: for goodness sake Brian

I don't see anything worng with sticking with the side that beat Pompey at the weekend. When it wasn't working he made a double substitution and it won us the game. Instead of berating Brian, you should applaud him for realising his system wasn't producing the goods and making the change early enoug...

That's exactly what I was about to post! And of those 8, three are against the sides currently in the bottom three. Tuesday's game is MASSIVE.

Re: Preston (H) predictions

PNE only lost 2 of their last 9 which include games v QPR, Norwich, Swansea, Leeds, Forest, Burnley and Watford. But I'll go for a Reading win. To be fair, we've only lost 1 of the last 9, which includes games v Watford, Millwall, Pompey, Everton and Manchester City! But you make a good point and y...

Re: Ipswich (A) Match thread sponsored by RFC Customer Services

What an absolute joke of a line up where the hell have all our full backs gone? Griffin, Cummings, Kelly, Williams? Why does Antonio never get a game? why not 4-4-2 with HRK and Antonio on the wings? Why is Howard still at the club? I'm getting more and more fed up of this club by the minute Twat. ...

MiddLOLesbROFLough. Not seen a team give away possession - and goals - as cheaply as that since.....erm, us last weekend. A team of good individuals who play like they've only just been introduced to each other for the first time in the dressing room before the game. Reading were deserved winners t...
