Wigan have never been considered an immediate danger to relegation yet they are on exactly the same number of points as we are? Because Wigan are quietly picking...

Re: Team for Liverpool

Hopefully Rafa will tinker what with Inter before and a hard run of games straight after Reading. If only...However, in true 'victims of our own success' style, I can't see him taking the risk of being caught out like he did at the Mad Stad again. Best case scenario is LFC are taken to E-T and pens...

Re: Training Camp in Spain

The timing of this is camp is further proof (if it were needed) that SC has "special powers". How else did he manage to plan weeks ago to fly off just hours in advance of the south's stormiest weather for years? Look for the wind and rain to abate sometime around Wednesday tea-time as the...

Re: Motm vs. Citeh?

I voted Rosenior, but would like to add that I think that Shorey's beginning to look as if he's back to his best form. Our full-backs are looking very strong right now, and in my post-win euphoria I'm tempted to say I wouldn't swap them for anybody else's at the moment.

Re: Apologies here please:-

We should never have been in this position and that's why Coppell deserves all he gets. He also deserves all the credit in turning this side round in the last few weeks. Doesn't make up for him turning us from a comfortable mid table side to relegation candidates because of his transfer policies. W...

Re: Dunne Injury?

Apologies if I'm wrong, but I thought it was the one on our left that went out for a throw? If it was the one I'm thinking of, my opinion (with a clear view from near the front, East Stand Y25) was that it was a superb tackle by Dunne. No complaints from Hunt either. Watch the TV replays. You'll se...

Re: Dunne Injury?

Absolutely clattered in a fair 50/50 challenge by Hunty, the Bionic Man. Won us the game probably, what with City's centre-half issues. It was Dunne's own fault! Dunne went in totally reckless, just like Gazza did years ago, and wound up injuring himself! He deserved it, it was his own fault, and h...

Re: Dunne Injury?

Dunne's a fantastic centre-back and I was convinced he alone would keep the score 0-0. I had a perfect view of the tackle on Hunt, and it was a typical cracker from Dunne. Absolutely no fault of Hunty that Dunne got injured, and I have to say that it's always a pity when such a good, honest player t...

So long as they don't overlap with each other. By the way - is that a straightforward spelling mistake or an astonishingly erudite turn of phrase in the title of this thread?! You have just given me the most intellectual lol moment on these boards! :D I did try an intellectual nod towards the title...

Fantastic have we bought the rights for this feature from OAE 3 years ago when it was funny? The Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment? Re: Man City Team and Score Predication Thread

I don't want to see Kebe start, I don't think he's ready yet. I can just imagine the disappointment and dent in his confidence if his fleeting moments so far prove to have - as I suspect - flattered him somewhat. Even Marek, an international with a sure touch, understated intelligence and air of cal...

Thou Voice Another Hob Nob poster who cannot defend the balding guy with any reasoned arguement and just sinks to abuse.

Erm, is this deliberate irony on your part? Or does "balding guy" in lieu of a name not count as abuse as far as you are concerned?

Re: LITA GONJE OUT ON LOAN

Because I genuinely didn't know Long had played in the reserve matches. Please update the stats. Just a small point, but when it comes to the Ressies, a) I don't think goals should be counted in whole numbers in comparison with first-team goals and b) I was at the game against Arsenal Ressies and i...

Re: LITA GONJE OUT ON LOAN

Why the hell didn't we sell him for the £5m odd apparently on offer in January if we had no intention of playing him? An extraordinary decision at this stage of the season. Trouble is, no-one came in for him. SC clearly wanted rid in January, but couldn't sell him. Utterly bizarre decision though, ...
