Re: If you didn't support Reading who would you support and

Quite like the idea of Dulwich Hamlet, becoming a regular down at Champion Hill. Realistically I wouldn't want to spend every other Saturday watching football though so it's never going to happen. As I rarely come on the forum nowadays I've only just seen this. Interesting to know there is another ...

Re: Pre Season Tour - Portugal 2012

Actually, the memory is obviously not so good. The Bergvik game was in 2004. I think the game in 2006 in the middle of nowhere was 10-1 against Lanna GoIF That was a fantastic experience, ended up sitting on one of the hilly banks next to a local who insisted I tried his homemade 'tea'. about 10 't...

Re: Non - League thread 2011/12

5th playoff final loss I've had to endure, 2 for Dulwich, 3 for Reading. Fair play to Bognor, they played well all season and deserved it on Sunday. Attendance was 2,100 with about 300 from Dulwich. Just hoping we can take the league next year now, could really do without the playoffs again...

Re: Non - League thread 2011/12

My kids team is playing a cup final at Chipstead in a couple of weeks. Anyone been there/ know the state of the pitch? Just that last year we played a final at Mertsham - All i can say is football is played on grass, not sand! I went to watch Dulwich there in September and despite it being towards ...

Ryman Division 1 South Play-off Semi finals Dulwich Hamlet 2-1 Folkestone Invicta Bognor 4-4 Godalming (Bognor win 5-3 on pens) So on Sunday Dulwich travel to Bognor for the playoff final, should be a very close game. Last season Dulwich beat Bognor in the semis (having finished more than 30points b...

Pretty simple, Reading > Paddington > District to Bond Street > Jubilee to London Bridge > Above ground train thing to South Bermondsey. The district doesn't go to bond street... As long as its running take the Bakerloo line to Bond Street from Paddington (the connection with the jubilee is far bet...

Re: Non - League thread 2011/12

Dulwich Hamlet v Bognor Regis Town at Champion Hill tomorrow. Massive match between 1st and 2nd in Ryman Division 1 South. If Dulwich win, they'll go back to the top of the league, 1 point clear and that's before Bognor lose 3 points when Croydon Athletic officially get kicked out the league (haven'...

Re: Pink kits

[quote="Four Of Clubs"] ~~~ NL ALERT ~~~ Andover play in a very insipid pale pink away kit - matches their form this season - only 2 pts since Xmas. Can't see why they don't keep to their good ol' aggressive Red/Black Stripes that I'm sure they usually play in - especially since I saw them...

Re: Non - League thread 2010/11

Got to feel a bit for Bognor Regis Town of the Ryman Div1 Their 4 to 500 (average) fans lost out on the championship by last day GD to Met Police (who had only 66 turned up to watch them lift the silverware). Bognor lost out to Dulwich Hamlet in the play off finals, a team that finished a mere 31 p...

Michael Chambers, a teenage defender at Dulwich Hamlet, is the subject of an unlikely transfer pursuit involving no less than Manchester United, Arsenal, Tottenham and seven other clubs. Ten teams ranging from United to Bristol City, and including Everton and Aston Villa, were represented at Dulwic...

Re: Row JJ at Cardiff on Saturday

We were also told it was unreserved seating by the stewards. They actually stopped us going up the block where we were supposed to be as it was 'full' and so ended up sitting in a completely different section. Surely if it was unreserved, it should have been mentioned when they were bought?

Also agree with Walsall and QPR mentions. Another one I remember as being pretty poor was Rotherham at home in 2003, may have been more to do with the hangover I had that day, but I remember being close to falling asleep a couple of times.

Re: Watching Academy matches

I remember when the club first went to Hogwood they had a few problems with thefts from cars and so quickly restricted access to the facility, meaning an electronic pass was needed to open the gate (which was kept permanently locked). I'm not sure if this is still the case, but figure it probably di...
