Talking of gambling, I'm now wondering whether Williams is not actually as poor as he makes out, and that he's been nobbled by far eastern betting syndicates staking huge amounts on sliced passes, poor first touches and ludicrous last minute fouls.

One possible hitch if we're planning on raiding this pool of premiership talent about to become available: Plenty of championship and possibly league 1 clubs will have the same idea. This will mean competitive wage deals will be harder to broker with the lending clubs ... therefore only those clubs ...
