Re: Glenn Hoddle - Would he be the right man?

Would rather saw off my nuts with a rusty spoon than allow Gareth Southgate anywhere near Reading - the man is a complete waster (very much in the mold of Brian Robson, Ian Dowie etc, how do they keep getting jobs?). Hoddle on the other hand has had a lot of success, particularly considering the ch...

Re: Match thread sponsored by Bye bye Bodgers

Church gets a second yellow for celebrating with the fans and NOT for taking off his shirt. Stupid rule! Yeah, rule being the operative word. So who's stupid? No, its not a rule at all. You can ABSOLUTELY celebrate with your own fans. So quite why the ref booked him when he didn't take off his shir...

Crystal Palace (first spell; 1984-1993) In June 1984, Coppell became manager of Crystal Palace. Aged just 28 years and 10 months upon his appointment, he became the youngest person to ever manage a club in the Football League. Coppell made budget signings of unwanted players from the First Division...

Re: Get some perspective

Even if we don't buy anyone at Christmas, we have the players to stay up, so long as they're managed well. To a certain extent I agree with this, poor management is why we are underperforming. We have had 3 wins and 1 draw in the last 6 games which is a good return, so management must be doing some...

But that is 1 defeat in 10... we lost to a poor Derby side and then went on to win the following week.

As for the not getting paid stuff...don't beleive all you read in the rags.

Re: Predictions: Reading -v- C. Palarse - 08/12/2009

2-1 Pearce & McAnuff Hmm, having looked at the highlights of the last game (and my last 5 predictions), I'm thinking this might be a bit optimistic. 1-0 to Palace as we struggle with few options upfront and a defence prone to conceeding at least one goal. Watch as my original thought comes true...

2-1 Pearce & McAnuff Predicting a win Ian - next you will be saying BR is our best ever manager! As for me I have a feeling it will be a draw - although obviously hoping you are right.. What is it with morons making up what I post? Try looking back through the last 5 or six prediction threads a...

Re: Predictions: Reading -v- C. Palarse - 08/12/2009

I'll take a draw tomorrow night. Reading 1-2 C Palace I am going for a Palace win too. Despite their defeat on Saurday they are in good form and have lost just the one in the last 10. Warnock is due one over us too, which is a shame as Palace is my local team and I could do with having the bragging...

Royalee Pearce is best in the squad at reading the game, organising

Just a shame he's a shit footballer who cant run.

He's a better footballer than Ingimarsson. Next game go and count up how many times he gives the ball away compared to Ivar.

Re: Ingimarsson rejects a new contract offer from Reading

Pearce is a damn good player and can be likened to Keth McPherson in that while he is slow he makes up for it by being able to read the game well . He would also appear to be a ball playing centre back so should fit in well with the way BR is developing the squad. All he needs is more experience an...

Re: Ingimarsson rejects a new contract offer from Reading

Have to totallly disagree... Pearce is a complete and utter liabilty...he is crap in the air, not very fast and has the positional sence and awareness of a cheesecake. Ivar may have had a couple of bad games this season but remember he was injured for a long period. Pearce hasn't had a couple of go...
