Re: MATCHWATCH : Mansfield Town (a)

Watched it on the Red Button. Sober. We had an internet outage, but unluckily, it resolved itself, so I was condemned to watch the last 6 minutes too. That really was a very hard watch. Fair play to the Stags - they absolutely deserved it, and it wasn't all us being dreadful - they fully deserved it...

Re: Sunday afternoon distraction - most famous XI

ST: Les Ferdinand (Yakubu, Long, Dixon?) Sean Goater..... He has a day named after him for Goats sake! Robin Friday - has a book written about him Would argue, perhaps out of ignorance, that Friday is probably very unknown outside of the Reading and Cardiff fanbase. Amongst the wider public, perhap...

Re: Ex Royals (No not prince Andrew)

Cracking goal from Sam Smith against Chelsea Another for Wareham I see as well Such a shame we don’t still have one of them Would take Wareham back tbh, probably only likely to happen if Exeter go down though. Given the pathetic abuse our more moronic fans like to give his dad, why on Earth would h...

Re: Richardson out

I've put my notes from yesterday's fans' forum here: https://clyde1998.substack.com/publish/post/189772394 I would usually just post this sort of thing directly on here, but the website's stability being patchy means I'd rather people be able to access it somewhere stable. Have to say, it's was a q...

Re: Car Park 6 - again

Looks like they're available. Log in to the ticketing site, click your name in the top right, select Buy Available Products, then scroll to find ‘Reading v Bradford City (Parking)’ and click on Car Park 6. Only found this by following their instructions to add a name to the Luton waiting list. Agai...

Car Park 6 - again

Currently not able to buy a place. My question is: does anyone know of it's because it's not open on Saturday for the Bradford game, or is it a problem with the new ticketing site?

Re: What do people expect from a football team and manager

Rob followed me last night on twitter 8) and we’ve been chatting over PM. We are working on a face to face where I can put some of this stuff to him. Less Louisiana days and more grass roots days… https://i.ibb.co/jkpLrK1g/IMG-0692.jpg As you have been quite outspoken in your opposition to him in t...

Re: Richardson out

Ridiculous thread. Puts me off reading this forum. Makes us look like a tinpot club asking for their manager to be sacked because 'I don't like his personality' when sat just outside the play-offs. We're in League 1 not the f****g Premier League - we hardly had attractive football last time we were...

Re: What do people expect from a football team and manager

I believe short attention spans and the desire for instant gratification are to blame for how we feel when we don't have results + performance + effort + team connection... Some ppl are saying they would swap results for a young team with 'connection'... I don't buy that - ppl forget how quickly ba...

Re: Bolton fall out

Depends how it’s seen and presumably the ref saw it as accidental because he felt the players momentum was already in force when he gave the free kick. The argument then becomes a refereeing decision and as we know those standards are not high in any division currently. I can see the argument for d...

Re: Bolton fall out

Long term season ticket holders I know aren’t going because it’s so shit. I go because I’m a fcuking stoic legend. I get where papes is coming from but I’m afraid neither he nor Ian go to the home games and that is where you perform in front of your fans. And the performances have been shocking. La...

Re: Bolton fall out

LOL yeah it’s the fitness that’s the issue  who exactly is not up to the required fitness? It’s just nonsense. Kelvin. Marriott. Yiadom. Rinomhota. Nyambe. Ritchie. Maybe Lane, he's struggled with a couple of injuries and looked leggy at times. If you include pace in that certainly O'Connor a...

Re: Bolton fall out

Although I have yet to really warm to him as a person, I did find Richardson's interview after the game addressed most of the points we're all making pretty well. Impressively realistic about where we are. We all desperately want an instant turn around, promotion, liquid football etc. It is obviousl...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Bolton Wanderers (h)

We keep getting deeper and deeper as games wear on, so the long clearance to no one is the only option - there’s no one up front to aim for, and you need to get rid of quickly because you’re being pressed hard by all ten opposition players. A panicked hoof may be the only thing you can do. At one po...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Wigan Athletic (a)

It was hardly a game to make the neutral fall in love with football was it? Maybe I’ve been watching too much PL, CL and Serie A games recently, because that really was dire. But, Dorsett is coming along really well. He’s all round a lot more solid and there are fewer of the silly mistakes that bli...

Re: Ex Royals (No not prince Andrew)

Orion1871 Why are the twitter twats so weirdly obsessed with Jayden Wareham's father? Very strange.

I think it's because the story goes when Wareham joined Exeter, his Dad insisted he get the shirt number that was retired when the previous owner died young. Not a great look if true.
