Re: Team for Palace (A)

Amen Ian Royal you know your stuff. Sandman did you see the watford game last weekend when Mills decided to clear the ball with an overhead kick that landed straight to a Watford player?!?! Zurab and Pearce have played together and for example against Leeds were a perfect foil for each other. People...

Re: Team for Palace (A)

Despite the recent win, that central defence still need drastically changing. If Pearce is fit, he has to come in alongside Zurab. Palace will come at us with hammer and tong and Mills/Ingimarsson are really poor at absorbing pressure

Re: Brynjar made available for a loan move

Very odd decision seeing as recent weeks have shown how utterly weak we are in the central midfield position. But if it is gonna trigger a mass exodus of the oldies from the club then I certainly am not complaining seeing that Ingimarsson shouldn't even be in the side, they are both past it and are ...

Re: Milwall Match Thread (22/2/11) Sponsored By Stone Island

I just hope McDermott goes for a win at Palace and starts with 2 up-front. We have very little to lose as relegation is incredibly unlikely from here on in. Agreed, with the wingers we have - Kebe coming back to form, and McMuff against his old team, L'wood against his old team and a slightly young...

Re: Perspective

The football was more exciting last season, that is probably why a lot of fans are moaning this season. The football is dull. You take out players who play football on the ground- Bertrand, Zurab and Sig, and the style of football is boring which means the fans aren't as excited. Simples really! I ...

Re: millwall at home

0-2 I'm going for. I really think we are gonna get a kicking tonight and definately the end of our season. There's my pessimism but hopefully it will spark a change somewhere within our club!

Re: Milwall Match Thread (22/2/11) Sponsored By Stone Island

What he said. That's a fockin' aggressive bench. Hope we don't get two defensive injuries. :) I'm hoping for at least 1 defensive injury so Zurab can come in for either of those useless centre backs! A pretty defensive central midfield though ent it?! Tabb and Legs! Millwall have clearly done their...

Re: Cardiff punishment

That one second incident where the lump Parkin falls over in the last minute of injury time at Cardiff has pretty much cost us our season. A confidence inspiring win becomes a draw and feels like a loss, we lose our best player for three games (two really I suppose as he was out for QPR anyway) in ...

Re: Bring on the youth

Probably a good thing to do from a business point of view. We are probably gonna lose any or all of Long, Kebe, McAnuff and Feds over the summer. It would be wise to see what if anything of value we have to replace them from within. Is McAnuff consistent enough to play in the premiership?! In fact ...

Re: Back From The Game - Watford (H)

Was speaking to a high name player after the game today, said he was disappointed with the performance but it wasn't through lack of effort, the team just have lost the winning touch. General consensus is the players really like BMD and want to play for him. A lot of the squad felt positive through...

Re: millwall at home

Hopefully a home win, if we do the play-off chase is back on (ish). Dream on lad it's over...this team are not worthy of the play offs. They need to work on their performances because if they don't change, the results won't. Time for McDermott to realise this and change his personnel. He even said ...

Fed

Cummings
Griffin
Zurab
Pearce (if fit)

McAnuff
Kebe
Ledge
Don't care as all the other fit central midfielders are woeful

Long
Beast (Hunt again was woeful today despite the goal, Celtic...shows how far they've fallen!)

Re: Sheff U (a) match thread - The Dane Whitehouse Experience

Managerial cock up to my mind. 4-5-1 away v a team that is as hopeless as Sheff Utd and, surprise, surprise we rediscover our non goalscoring touch that we had before Leigertwood and a consistent 4-4-2. Should have played Gunnarsson and Howard or gunnarsson and Tabb with HUNT alongside Long. Sounde...

Re: Manager Backing?

I've never really been sure on McD. After he took over from Rodgers I've always felt that he had it really easy. He knows the players, he could see the mistakes in personnel that Rodgers had made and from what I've heard signed 2 players on loan that Rodgers couldnt get in August (Khiz and Griff). ...

muddyfeet Also conceding more late goals without Pearce and Ledge who I think are two vital players for us

Yup because they are composed players unlike Mills and Howard

Re: Sheff U (a) match thread - The Dane Whitehouse Experience

its a shame we didnt collect 3 points tonight as realistically we need to win our next 2 games to have any chance of scraping into the top 6 Give up and enjoy the fact that we're most likely playing in this division next season again, a reasonable expectation with the chairman's investment into the...

Re: Manager Backing?

I back him but he needs to start getting realistic with what to expect with the current group of players he has at the club. 12th position is a very good position for an extremely cheap squad. However, with a few basic changes to the team we wouldn't have dropped the points that we have

Re: Sheff U (a) match thread - The Dane Whitehouse Experience

Pearce is still injured. To be honest I don't have a clue why we don't involve Zurab more. Pearce's injury is taking a fair while to clear up. Yer that's fair enough but I jus don't understand why Zurab can't get in the team! By far the best centre back we have but then maybe that's just my opinion...
