Re: Rival Watch

Yep - current position of our opponents in order is: 23rd (Wednesday - HOME) 16th (Forest AWAY) 21st (Birmingham - AWAY) 17th (QPR - HOME) 7th -----------------------------------------BARNSLEY 18th (Derby - HOME) NOT predicting this but should win the five bold games and lose to Barnsley we would b...

Re: Rival Watch

We still have to play 6 out of 7 of the current top 8 so it’s gonna be tough. We’ve played Bournemouth and Brentford twice. So it’s 5 innit? Have still to play Norwich, Watford, Barnsley (a) Swansea, Cardiff (h) Played everyone else down to and including Brizzle in 12th twice Yep - current position...

Re: Rival Watch

Sure. If our home record was W 8, D6, L3 it would probably be seen as decent but still only brings us the same 30 points. Yep the lack of draws has certainly given a negative slant to it because of the defeats but points wise, it is a very decent return. 6 games to go at home, if we can W4 L2 (so r...

Re: Rival Watch

Yep lost 7, won 10, drawn 0 at home which is a very unusual record. And in terms of points, is the 6th best record in the division. Away from home, we are the 5th best side. Compare to Watford, who are the best team at home yet only 12th away. Sure. If our home record was W 8, D6, L3 it would proba...

Re: Rival Watch

Having witnessed all our play-off final disappointments, I'd far rather go up that way, than automatics. I am enjoying this season, certainly compared to the previous half dozen. We still have a problem playing at home, no idea why that is (lost 7?). Of course, if we went up, it'd be very, very, ve...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Blackburn Rovers (h)

agreed. And add to the fact he clinically finished one chance, and forced the keeper to make an excellent save on his other. big part to play for the rest of the season hopefully Yep answered the criticism. Hope he continues to get the opportunity to keep it up. He had good games in a 2 last year t...

Re: Rival Watch

It looks tough at the mo but by the time we go to Norwich they'll likely already be Champions and could have switched off. In the last 6 we also have games v Luton & Huddersfield - hardly tough in paper. It looks like our season will come down to the away game at Barnsley and the home game v Ca...

Re: Ups & Downs 2020/21

Yep bottom of the NL is fairly pointless now as there will be no relegation. Dover aren't even playing now as they can't afford to and have put their squad on furlough. Be interesting to see if they get punished for that.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Sheffield Wednesday (h)

Same formation, get on the front foot and score early.

After 5 straight defeats, that should kill them off.

Re: Rival Watch

just seen that Swansea penalty decision - oh dear. They just keep hanging in scraping out results. Will be gutted if they make it up, but they are in a decent position Did basically the whole top half of the table except Brentford and Stoke win this midweek? Yep, all bar Brentford in the current to...

Re: Rival Watch

TBF the other teams all look better than us. Barnsley Cardiff are banging goals in for fun, Watford are flying and Swansea are digging out wins even they don’t play well. We are running out of steam which is a shame as have been in the top six all season. As it stands I think we will miss out. I th...

Re: Rival Watch

windermereROYAL Rovrum beat Wednesday in the 97th minute.

Breakaway goal from a Wednesday corner apparently.

They are done now I think, or at least one foot in League 1. We need to pile the misery on them on Saturday.

Re: Rival Watch

As you were then from us down at least.

Saturday's òpponents have just let in a 90th min goal v Rotherham, to lose. Rotherham had 10 men for last 25mins too.

Re: Rival Watch

I think Bournemouth could fade away but the form of Barnsley and Cardiff is worrying and Barnsley in particular seem to have played a lot of the top sides already. I think if they win again today they will look pretty nailed on top 6, so we will have to win a lot of games still if we want to join t...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Blackburn Rovers (h)

Haven't seen much praise for Pepe for being the best poster on the board. Seriously guys. Up your game. His next few posts are the key to the whole season. Only then would it be fair to pass judgement. Will be interesting to see how I deal with this kind of pressure. Pretty poorly I expect. Not the...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Blackburn Rovers (h)

Haven't seen much praise for the manager. After being rightfully criticised for the Millwall and Wycombe team selection/subs, think he deserves a lot of credit for once again getting us back on track after a couple of poor results. Next few games are the key to the whole season. Only then would it ...
