Form Tables Last Six Games P6 W3 D2 L1 F9 A7 = 11 Points 06th Wigan P6 W1 D2 L3 F6 A6 = 05 Points 19th Reading Average position of the teams played in the last 6 games has got to factor into this, surely? Wigan have beaten Leeds, Weds & Millwall. Drawn with Boro & Cardiff Lost to Preston We...

Re: VAR

Aye, but the pundits and pros don’t make a meal of it and thus the narrative is a lot more palatable to watch as a spectacle. The football coverage is just so much less appealing when you have those decisions coupled with Garth Crooks going off for 10 minutes. Sure the rule makers can reflect on le...

Re: VAR

Notice the Wales v France game today, contentious decision as to whether France deliberately knock on. Decision was that it wasn’t, disagreement in the studio but everyone was able to move on and not wet the bed about it. A decision was made, people have disagreed, but move on. It hasn’t affected t...

Re: Bowen Out.

Not Howe's role to decide which players are bought. Far too many owners are buying into football clubs with the expectation that money alone buys promotion. That's my point though. Who's been sanctioning deals and who's been given the deciding vote? Manager, Owners, Chief Exec, DoF? I would say tha...

Re: No BFTG Leeds (A)?

Also Moore playing as striker instead of bringing Baldock on seemed an odd shout. I can kind of see the logic - brining on Baldock would have been the obvious thing to do and Leeds may well have already had a plan to deal with that eventuality - throwing Moore up top could have just been different ...

Re: No BFTG Leeds (A)?

Thought we looked fine. Didnt have any problems with our play. Second half they came out and played with much more intensity and we struggled a bit to impose our game on them. Cant pinpoint any big issues really. Genuinely cant fault a single performance. This really. We tried to take the game to t...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Wigan Athletic (h) sponsored by Nicky Forster

Look ,we are not going to go down;but if we lose to Wigan ,that’s them five points behind us. We also would need Boro, Stoke, Charlton, Huddersfield & Hull to go past us too. Losing would not be great but we have all of the bottom 7 to play, 5 at home. If we are anywhere near relegation after t...

Re: Bowen Out.

Hound WBA away is actually our best performance of the season imo

Thought we could have been onto something really good at the time

It was up there but IIRC we also got pretty lucky that a penalty wasn't awarded 5 mins in which could have made for a very different game.

Re: Champions League/Europa League 2019/20

Thought UEFA brought in a few years ago to say no other televised football can be on when CL games are on. City Vs West Ham on sky tonight. It is a rule they are fairly flexible with i.e. a game can be televised if it was already scheduled for live coverage and postponed a la last night - games can...

Re: CheLOLsea

No easy ones in that, haven't they been troubled by Bournemouth a couple of times recently? Villa also won't be easy. Does Frank Lampard go? Has he been found out at this level and his ''club legend status'' protection finally wearing thin? No, he came in under a transfer ban so couldn't add in any...

Idiots!!! https://royals.org/matdoc/190205.html Crazy end to that season (though obviously the following year made up for it) 70pts after 43 games and seemingly a shoe in for the play-offs we contrived to lose our last 3 games to let Pardew's West Ham sneak in and go on to win the play-offs. What g...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Leeds United (a) sponsored by Simon Church

Unless we get 0 points or 6 from our next two, I’d certainly be looking to rest a few for the Barnsley game just before United We can focus on developing styles and players once we have nothing to play for but whilst the cup is still a viable option, I think it’s mad to write it off Spoiler alert. ...

Re: VAR

Arsene Wenger using his new role at FIFA to try and push a change to the offside rule following the introduction of VAR - think it has been mentioned on here as well as the best way forward. Change would be that a player is onside if any part of his body that can score a goal is onside i.e. if their...

Re: Champions League/Europa League 2019/20

I guess the only frustrating thing for their fans is that they know the player is going to be sold in the next few years, but I guess if it keeps happening it is fine :) Reminds me of a time when Atletico went through a stage of just producing or acquiring world class strikers. You had Aguero, Forl...

The last thing we need is Liverpool to get knocked out of the CL. They’d actually try in all the PL games

Liverpool will win the 2nd leg 3-0.
