Re: England - the future....

Read something earlier that is very true - no-one is talking about Declan Rice's transfer fee. And at £100m he's a very expensive player. And that's because he has been nothing but excellent at Arsenal, because he is becoming world-class. And only 24. I'm very excited for what could be close to a d...

I also have it on in the background...obvs want him to do well...

Re: England - the future....

Watching the Beckham documentary in Netflix, it was interesting seeing Capello interviewed and saying that he told Beckham to go and play in a competitive league or he wouldn't be picked for the national team. Obviously, one of the big reasons Southgate is there is because he's not a hardliner like...

Re: FA Cup 1st Round

At least we have the chance to do the franchise scum. Hate that club. Tickets should be £10 max if they want more than 6k fans going Why do you hate them? You are jealous of their success? They haven’t had any They’ve even handed the trophies back to Wimbledon Some success, but not massively impres...

Because they are fans of ZZ Top? Not really (not at all tbh) relevant but I'm now a huge fan of early ZZ Top. Very bluesy. Give it a listen. Or not This may be influencing me towards our new "owner" Nah judging by his recent businesses and sponsorships, he is more ZZ Flop. I remember seei...

He can probably do that if he has a consortium behind him. Why would any consortium use him as a frontman? Because they are fans of ZZ Top? WestYorksRoyal Dellor seems to reporting to the contrary - no mention of Red Bird and his sources think the bid will fail.

Re: “ Sell before we Dai “ supporters action group v2.2 sponsored by Dunlop Tennis Balls

Justin Rees said this about his purchase of Southend

“If the club was completely stable, it wouldn’t be for me,” Rees said. “It’s that challenge of the turnaround that excites me.”

Surely Reading would provide a hell of a challenge?!

Re: Northampton (A)

It's pretty awful so I'd allow plenty of time. Despite it not being huge the traffic grinds to a halt on football and rugby match days Out of interest, how was your visit to Northampton? Not the game, obviously that was shit. But did you find a decent place to eat (not easy in Northampton!) And did...

Re: “ Sell before we Dai “ supporters action group v2.2 sponsored by Dunlop Tennis Balls

Great news from the group that the SCL stadium has been made an asset of the community value ( ACV) by Reading Borough council. That's a good effort by Star and SBWD. And even better by the council. These things normally take a lot longer to process It will prevent Dai from selling the stadium for ...

Re: Generic clubs in financial crisis Thread

WestYorksRoyal More good news. Southend and Scunthorpe both basically got to death's door before being rescued. Perhaps the threat of liquidation focuses the mind of an owner trying to hold out for a higher price.

Let's hope it doesn't get to that stage for us.

Feels like it might have to.

Is anyone familiar with Northampton? How gnarled up does it get with traffic around 6.45-7pm? It's pretty awful so I'd allow plenty of time. Snowflake Royal I think the worst thing about this is that people have started excusing Ince's absolute shitshow.

100% agree

Ince only had to set the team up to attack even a little bit more than he did and we'd probably have survived

Re: MATCHWATCH : Northampton Town (a)

Northampton is not a gem of the UK countryside. There's a huge tower and light industrial estates going west from the station. It all opens out into a quite enormous retail park. The huge Wagamamas overlooking the ground looked a safer bet for a solid evening out (until I got told it hadn't opened ...

On royals tv can you make the stream full screen? Watching on a laptop and I can seem to make it any bigger than about a quarter of the screen I had the same issue But I think I'll keep it small Might be less depressing... There is it. Arsing about with the browser is more enjoyable than the game a...
