Re: Finance

The only upside of the club getting into such financial difficulty and the consequent penalties whatever they turn out to be is that we are recently such a poor side.

Imagine if this was 2006 - we'd be gutted

Re: Euro 2020

Thinking about the Follow your Team tickets that have to be paid for up front there is a hell of a lot of money held by the organisers. In effect the seats have been sold 20 or so times over. So they hold all that money, probably into millions, from December 2019 until the games start. And with a C...

Re: Coronavirus outbreak

I know football is gentrifying but I think we're a long way from football fans having a slash at half time being indicative of general hygiene standards. Why not? It's a cross section of the population same as people gathered in pubs and clubs, cinemas and theatres. I don't think hand washing is no...

Re: Coronavirus outbreak

Of the hundreds who use the toilets before during and after the game very few wash their hands or use the sanitizer , even though the latter ran out at half time last Tuesday. Maybe the club should think about replenishing the soap and sanitizer several times during the game. Said as much on offici...

Re: Best centre back pairing

Short term: Miazga and Morrison. Pace, passing, experience, shit housery, height, strength... Longer term: Miazga and McIntyre Exactly this Miazga has looked head and shoulders above the rest since we first saw him. And I would have played him as soon as he was fit despite some poor results when pl...

Old Man Andrews

Old Man Andrews This second half display is up there with our best of the season. Really confident and assured, looked like a top 2 side.

Are you there?

If not how are you watching?

I'm there. Obviously.

Not obvious to me but thanks

FL confirm no pre match handshakes until further notice https://www.readingchronicle.co.uk/sport/18286971.coronovirus-fears-leads-cancellation-pre-match-handshakes/ Presumably that also means the prematch line up will also bite the dust. Be just like the days of proper football when teams just used...

Re: BFTG Sheff U FB

The comment about the modern player not being two footed is very true. When I first started watching football, all the top footballers use to comment about working on their weaker foot.I seem to recall that our 2005 side only had one player who was genuinely two footed, and that was Doyle.Even at the ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Sheffield United (h) sponsored by the magic of the cup

Also thought for the most part Friend was consistent and pretty good. Let a bit more than I'd like go, but seemed to be reasonably balanced, maybe a bit more against us, but we were being out muscled a lot more than anything. Yeah, probably should have blown for a foul before their first. Bowen was...
