Re: RUMOUR - Doyle to Villa (again)

Think Sunderland might be a possible suitor now... they have a new manager and a new supply of cash to burn (to replace the pile spunked by Keano).

Club with an ambition to get in to the Europa League places next season and need a striker IMO.

Re: Doyle

Hasn't he been off to Villa every transfer window since we signed him? Think that Villa will buy him now as they have £12 million top spend. Suspect we will settle for about £7M - or possibly a part exchange for Sidwell???? - assuming of course the new manager rates him and Villa don't see him as a...

Re: Friendlies 09-10 Pre-season

Away to Didcot Town again and a probably an overseas tour! Coppell has prior arrangements so will not make Murty's testimonial match! Booooo! Well, we know that's a lie. He's unemployed. He is washing his hair apparently. Perhaps he doesn't want any attention or the limelight taken away from Murts ...

Re: Shirt Sponsorship

My local team, Colwyn Bay FC, are in Unibond Division 1 and last year they put a local charity on their shirts, Ty Gobaith, a children's hospice, foregoing sponsorship money in the process. So, I have had a dig around to see if any articles mentioned how much income they have passed up to sponsor Ty...

Re: Harper says he would give up a kidney

You say an RFC legend but surely a true RFC legend would be talking about giving up both his kidneys? James Harper is a top man and I really hope we make it to Wembley and he gets to play some part in the match. Even a cameo sub appearance when we are already 3 up with a few minutes to go..simply to...

Re: Barca, Chelsea, United & Arsenal

oh, and if Ballack was even half as determined to chase down Iniesta for the goal as he was to chase down the ref then Chelsea would be in the final now. I must admit that is what I thought afterwards...no coincidence that the two most animated players were those with the biggest guilty conscience ...

Re: IF.....

Londinium, I know what you are saying about the East Stand and Y26 and I agree for the vast vast majority of games but I just have a feeling that Sunday's atmosphere has the potential to be the most hostile in the stadium's short history and that corner of the stadium will be the flashpoint area for...

Re: IF.....

I'm supposed to be driving to the game and back on the day from Colwyn Bay an approximate 460 mile round trip. I have tested the water with the wife that if the result is favourable I may have to stay overnight and drive back early in the morning which went down like a turd in a swimming pool due t...

Re: Sky commentary on Sunday - let's play cliche bingo

If Alan PC Pardew is on the commentary team - "and Kebe practically r@ped the Birmingham full back for the fourth goal..." If Shane/Doyler/SHunt scores "Irish eyes, and Reading eyes are smiling around the Madejski" Seriously though, is it ok to tumble dry jester hats or will the...

Gordons Cumming It's all a load of tosh as both games will end as draws.

Non-believer, do you have no romance in your soul?

We are going up, we are going up!

I am in Y26 on Sunday so does anyone know where I can buy a stab proof vest? When our third goal goes in I can see things turning a bit ugly!!

Barcelona v Arsenal final.

With Barcelona winning.

Chelsea to lose both their games against Barca. Arsenal to go through just against Utd as they only have this competition to concentrate on.

Absolute cobblers non-story on Talk Sport - usual ginger nonce Adrian Durham thinking up something that will be controversial to gain interest and calls to their premium rate phone-in show... So....Reading will only have to replay the Watford game if events pan out on Sunday if we are in an auto spa...

Re: Crystal Palace v Sheff Utd Prediction ;-)

On the plus side of Colin playing the kids, if they are as talented as he claims (the way he goes on about them you would think he has been at Palarse with a direct involvement in the youth set up there and their development over the last six years...), and they are likely to play with no fear and f...

Re: You just know....

I think the point being made is you can't say if only we had beaten Barnsley, as it is the most recent of slip ups when the season has been riddled with slip ups when we could have, should have, would have, picked up points in certain games. To pick the most recent one in Barnsley is not where we &q...
