Re: Pre season tour

Coach sent off in a pre-season friendly. Could have been a very nasty challenge that though. 2 nasty challenges apparently. I love our assistant manager. Full of character. They were 'robust' challenges but nothing too dangerous. Jorge Mendonca, though. What a boy! Nearly as barking mad...

Re: Watching Reading Abroad

Only downside is no replays (except for midweek games). Another big, fat +1 for the iFollow thingy now that the service was revamped last season. There is a useful "Back 30 seconds" button tab thingy in the lower left of the screen which is always useful for instant replays at any time - ...

Re: New sponsor- Confimred

Elm Park Kid I feel like I could post this picture in 5 different threads . . . but here's a look of the sponsors name on our tops.

That looks decent - though doesn't Obita's left ankle still look a bit wonky??

Re: CONFIMRED - Lewis Ward to Exeter

Good for Exeter and another move to show respect and the debt both clubs owe to Eamon with Murphy , Sweeney and now Ward all turning out for the Grecians. I get a couple of Exeter games in each year when visiting Spawn at uni so look forward to that. And the ground is shaping up nicely with the red...

Re: SPECULATION - Martinez?

Sutekh If Arsenal sign Schubert he might be a loan option for Reading as I can't see him taking the no.2 slot at the Emirates.

If anything, we might be in with a shout of Schubert waltzing between the sticks at the Mad House. It seems as if Martinez is going to be #2 at the Library.

Blue Blood
Except it was "Golden Goal" not Golden Gamble - based on the time the first goal was scored as I recall.

Ah yes, of course it was..... Senility creeps in.....

And who used to put up the half time scores using the recycled cricket scoreboard numbers?

Re: RIP - Gordon Neate

Very sad news and condolences to his family. Fred forking the pitch at EP at h/t, Jimmy Wallbanks running on the with the magic sponge and the chap whose name I forget now - short, always wore a bobble hat and traipsed around the cinder before game selling Golden Gamble - are three endearing and end...

Re: The League of 4

So what happens if Bolton don't complete their final two games?

Will their league record be expunged? And, more importantly, if it is, how would the revised league table look?

I think all this analysis of Rovrum is a bit off. We'll both be fine.

It's Wigan that is going down. Their fixtures are tough.

Re: BFTG - The miracle of Carrow Road.

Well, that was the emotional roller-coaster. I'm being churlish after a performance of such grit and determination but, while Meite is a very willing runner and shows some pace and strength, he really does need to work tirelessly on his first touch. It is still completely woeful. If he did manage to...

Re: BFTG - PNE

Yes, McShane needs to put in a pasture with nice long grass to keep him happy in his retirement. What a ball from Swifty for the first. Rino - how we have missed him and there is a very competent Prem league midfield right there. Top marks to Baker, too. Never gave up, always a bit of composure and ...

Re: Clement's week on a beach in Dubai last week

FTR, a true fan in my eyes is anyone - regardless of whether they go to games or not - who answers "Reading FC" whenever asked which team they support. Of course, the inevitable follow-up question is always: "Yeah, but which 'proper' Premier League team do you support?" My standa...

Every true RFC fan should be hugely grateful to Strap for his meticulous detail to the.... errrr, details regarding RFC. On another note, I live 3,500 miles away from the 'Ding and have been to nine matches so far this season including aways at Villa, 'Wall, QPR and Ipswich. Does that make me a supe...
