Re: Charlie Savage to Wrexham

No idea, around the time I had a ST, in which case 15 to 20. fair enough - you must be a glutton for punishment We all want to see decent football, even if we differ on what it is, but at the end of the day you go home feeling better with a win. I didn't particularly enjoy a lot of McDermott's Cham...

Re: Jamie Gittens to Arsenal - are we entitled to compensation?

We are entitled to compensation but its not based on transfer fee. It's a fixed fee for costs of training a player. Something along the lines of €75,000 for each year in a cat 1 academy. https://www.easportslaw.com/news/training-compensation-and-solidarity-mechanism#:~:text=The%20basic%20principle%2...

Re: OFFISHAL CONFRIMATION of the CONFIMRED

Bearwood open day is a cracking bit of PR there. Will cost the club relatively little but it's something I'd imagine a lot of fans would love to do. Cost? 7k visitors spread throughout the day, charge them for parking, sell them some burgers, sell them some new kits for next season, sell them some ...

Re: OFFISHAL CONFRIMATION of the CONFIMRED

I assumed that giving money as a load was to comply with FFP rules, but I can't see it in the regulations (although maybe I just don't understand the language). So, presumably, giving money as a loan to the club makes it easier to recoup it if the club becomes very profitable - perhaps it's more ta...

Re: OFFISHAL CONFRIMATION of the CONFIMRED

The club shouldn't owe Couhig the Sale Price. He bought the shares from Dai for £25m. Depending on his actions and the success of the club the value of those shares will increase in value (or not) but buying those shares should not have created a debt to Couhig. The £25m that Couhig paid Dai is a r...

Re: Rob Couhig - New Interview

Tim Dellor is a BBC presenter not a producer. He interviews who is put in front of him. It's not his job to go looking for interviews and do investigative journalism. It's a producers job to do that. So if people are looking to criticise, I'm not entirely sure why people are, who cares where intervi...

Re: OFFISHAL CONFRIMATION of the CONFIMRED

So how does debt transfer work? Couhig has paid dai 90mill on top of the sale price? So he has just bought reading fc for the equivalent price of 115 million? And then he’s just going to sit on that debt for the next ‘x’ amount of years without cashing it in? That would seem a very odd business dea...

Re: OFFISHAL CONFRIMATION of the CONFIMRED

Maybe I am being thick/pedantic, but they might now own the 'debt', but it might still sit with a 3rd party institution - otherwise what has happened to the £90M that was in the latest figures...? The 90m debt is still an RFC debt. It was owed to Mr Dai. He sold that debt to Mr Couhig. Mr Couhig is...

Re: OFFISHAL CONFRIMATION of the CONFIMRED

All the clubs debts are the clubs debts. Some are to the owners, some are to suppliers. In the interview he says they are dealing with the suppliers debts now, and won't seek repayment of the debt owed to them, the owners. So if you think he tells the truth, those are facts. But the question was ‘i...

Re: OFFISHAL CONFRIMATION of the CONFIMRED

is it? info seems a bit flaky to 100% confirm the statement as fact. from couhigs interview with craig, he send there was still 'vendor' debt, and gave an example of not paying for the car park (which he is sorting). What wasn't stated was, is all debt, including vendor debt, owned by couhig now, o...

Re: OFFISHAL CONFRIMATION of the CONFIMRED

Is that confirmed? None of the tens of millions of debts accrued by the previous regime are owned to external/third parties... It's all been picked up by the new owners and is owed to them - so is only an issue when they come to sell - but they control what they do with it? Just so I am clear what ...

Re: Rob Couhig - New Interview

Couhig contradicted himself when he said he wants to keep cat 1 but also said Brentford and Wycombe can bring good young players into their first team squad without an academy. I wonder which opinion he actually holds. . That's not a contradiction, it's an acknowledgement there's more than one appr...

Re: Rob Couhig - New Interview

Now those “legal technicalities” make a lot more sense Completion meant: Redwood Stadium had to purchase the SCL from Prestige Fortune Asia, a deal requiring specialist counsel in its own right (BVI domiciled company) Redwood Investments had to purchase c. £200m worth of debt from Renhe Sports Mana...

Re: G’arn then, somebodies got to….In Praise of Dai Yoonge

If when Dai was announced someone with a crystal ball would say he is going to spend about £150mn on the squad and about £50mn on building one of the best training ground set ups in the country people would not believe their luck. What went wrong was poor footballing decisions by football people tha...

Re: CONFIMRED

It's pretty much what i was expecting based on the Charlton analogue. Turnover; £10M Costs; £25.5M Of which All wages: £14M Wage to revenue ratio = 140% Player trading: £3.2M So loss for year is £12.3M We know from the STAR statement that this is roughly the same for the current season. Albeit with...

Re: CONFIMRED

Stupid question, but how bad is this? I know lots of clubs make a loss and it's generally just accepted as being what happens. Is this a high number or not? I'm surprised in a way as I thought we had cut down wages to such a stupid extent, and also haven't bought anyone obviously. 1M a month loss -...

Re: CONFIMRED

I was away all weekend.

Is an agreement in principal to sell the club any different to the agreement in principal to sell the club that Couhig had last summer? Was it an announcement to keep the fans happy for the last game of the season while due diligence continues....?
