Re: Rumour - Richards to Everton

He's 23, how much more "developing" has he got time for. in six seasons' time his career as an attacking full back will be on the downward slope. he hasnt got long left to get better. Still great advert to have for our academy which matters the most. If you are choosing between us and othe...

Re: Where do we go from here 21/22 season?

You don't think Ejaria is a significantly better player than he was when he first joined on loan? He is far better than he was imo. He was pretty much an unknown when he joined us, now he has players watching videos of him constantly. To even stand still he would have had to have improved massively...

Re: Where do we go from here 21/22 season?

To anyone saying we dont have proper wingers, we have coaches who could presumably coach players into being wingers. Aluko is capable of running down the wing and crossing, as should be Olise. Ejaria is capable of doing it. You work with the players you've got. You tell them what to do in a game, a...

Re: Where do we go from here 21/22 season?

Agree with most of that but I don’t think Ejaria is capable of doing that (I.e running down the wing and crossing it in) The idea of his position is to suck in their FB and create space for the LB to bomb on. This worked really well last year for a period under Bowen, recall Blackett getting a numb...

Re: How much does 'luck' play a part in results?

Early on in the season we were the beneficiaries of a lot of red cards. And penalties. Joao scored 3 i think and missed 3, Olise scoring the other. Later on in the season i think our players have been diving to the ground theatrically when there probably was sufficient contact to earn a penalty. If ...

The eye definitely gets used to seeing something there in the middle.

International kits have the number on the middle of the chest? Why?

Re: MATCHWATCH : Luton Town (a)

Also, Moore on that free kick. Can someone explain that to me? If its a David Luiz blast it type of free kick, Meite has a more powerful shot. Olise takes corners, and on occassion they are good. Ejaria bends fairly good crosses in on his right foot on occassion. What is Moore doing, trying to curl ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Luton Town (a)

Reckon it was one of Meite's worst performances for us. Agreed. There was a moment lateish in the 2nd half where all meite had to do was control a ball coming at him, lay it off to his team mate, i think it was Ejaria, who would have had a clear shot at goal from 7 yards. there were no Luton player...

1 win in 8. A nice symmetry to our season.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Luton Town (a)

Swift and Olise standing at a corner.

That's one less player who could be on the edge of the box collecting clearances.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Luton Town (a)

I've been saying this all season, why are we playing with 6 defensive players with 15 minutes to go in a game we need to win.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Luton Town (a)

Meite's first thought once "controlling" the ball under pressure is how can i try and win a penalty here

Re: MATCHWATCH : Luton Town (a)

Meite's fluff then was a horror show. Control it, and lay it back for a guilt edges chance.

The man scores goal, but he has a b s o lu t e l y no composure.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Luton Town (a)

We play with two DMs. We dont even need to sacrifice an attacking player to become more attacking.

SO frustrating.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Luton Town (a)

Zip It is glaringly obvious that we are struggling yet no subs.

Because we are only one moment away from winning I fear Pauno will keep with this system till very late into the match.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Luton Town (a)

Is the reason Ejaria has so many successful dribbles is because opposition players are so flumoxed as to why Ejaria would opt to turn round and run backwards towards his own goal rather than opt for a easier pass.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Luton Town (a)

We've been getting worse all season. Teams have found out how to play us. That's why its ok to break the season into chunks. Teams change how they play against other teams as the season goes on. We started very well. People reacted, we didnt. That's why all season our position has been on a downwar...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Luton Town (a)

Just doesn't seem to be a set game play that we can rinse and repeat to create chances. It's all reliant on someone spotting a random run at the right moment and executing the final ball perfectly. Very true, when something good comes off, its usually a small stroke of inspiration like two one touc...
