Re: confimred - Finley Burns

Haha

Oh dear. I've read an entire tilehurstend blog about one player and thought they were someone else due to thinking i had opened up a BBC article on burns instead.

Oh well.

Re: confimred - Finley Burns

22 years old. Burns hasn't scored a goal in 63 appearance.

How is this loan signing better than Wareham or WiFi or Bodin?

Re: Squad for 2025-2026

Confirmed Craig gone to the Orient £££££££ I wasn't aware Orient had £££££. Stockport and Wycombe yes, but do we need to add another historically smaller club to the list? It does confuse a bit; you'd think these mid sized towns/suburbs in London and Manchester with giant clubs on their doorstep wi...

Re: Squad for 2025-2026

Mbengue feels like a big loss - a key part of the squad both on and off pitch. We tried to keep and he decided to take a different challenge. Wareham never felt like he was quite good enough, bet he scores against us next season. I think in L1 Wareham was good enough, with room to improve due to hi...

Re: Next seasons kit choice?

Agree that the shade of blue on the shirt looks different to the colour of the shorts/socks Also, read on Twitter earlier that ladies teams prefer dark shorts so they wouldn't have gone with white and guess you want both men's and women's kits the same I'm not convinced for one moment that the wome...

Re: Next seasons kit choice?

I think it's great. A nod to our history. But white shorts would work better. The effect of the pattern is to lose to the vibrancy of the blue in the shirt - so the shorts look like they are a different shade. Agree that the shade of blue on the shirt looks different to the colour of the shorts/soc...

Re: Next seasons kit choice?

It will become an iconic kit in 10 years time, but not convinced the bands are dark enough. I would have pushed for blue shirt where the white bands were made by a white floral pattern on top of the blue, rather than a blue pattern on top of white. Doesn't it all just look a bit too white? Nah, tha...

The Walthamstow William Morris kits have sold like you wouldnt believe round my neck of the woods, perhaps they are trying to tap into the more fashion conscious hipsters of Reading.

Re: Ex Royals

Weird how someone can crash a very fast car with no one else around in normal driving conditions on a straight road and we don't here a peep about a conviction for careless / reckless driving. You should probably raise that with the Essex Constabulary if you're that worried about it mate. Just an o...

Re: Ex Royals

*GOOD NEWS ALERT* Michail Antonio back on the pitch already (85th minute sub for Jamaica last night). Fantastic news. I can remember quite clearly hearing about it, seeing the photos of his car and thinking he may well not survive. To see him back playing again is great and I hope West Ham give him...

Re: Confimred - Paudie O’Connor

I'm lost. Is Mbengue joining a new club? The speculation has been that Mbengue will reject us in favour of somebody higher up the league. Ian is suggesting he won't make it through a medical, should he try to go down that route. All of which is, of course, speculation... Oh ok. I was replying to so...

Fair chance he won’t get through a medical if that is the case surely.

Why would Mbengue have a medical?

All players have a medical signing to a new club.

Re: Confimred - Paudie O’Connor

Does this suggest Strickland won't be moving to first choice..... Which saddens me..... Or that Mbengue is defo off. Mbengue played the final third of the season with a heavily strapped knee, and if you watched him in the prep for corners he was constantly stretching his knee out and rubbing it. I ...

TiagoIlori If we’re promoted from league one and he’s playing for us regularly, then I think everyone’s a winner.

I've seen some complaining that he should be joining a Championship side.

Re: Conflict of interests, the Hunt's

looks like Paudie O'Connor is coming in, and Matty Jacobs both of which have Stephen Hunt as their agent. Is it healthy to have a football agent as the brother of our manager? Discuss My biggest concern would be, are the only players Noel Hunt can think of buying are those who he knows through his ...

No idea, around the time I had a ST, in which case 15 to 20. fair enough - you must be a glutton for punishment We all want to see decent football, even if we differ on what it is, but at the end of the day you go home feeling better with a win. I didn't particularly enjoy a lot of McDermott's Cham...

Re: Jamie Gittens to Arsenal - are we entitled to compensation?

We are entitled to compensation but its not based on transfer fee. It's a fixed fee for costs of training a player. Something along the lines of €75,000 for each year in a cat 1 academy. https://www.easportslaw.com/news/training-compensation-and-solidarity-mechanism#:~:text=The%20basic%20principle%2...

Re: Rob Couhig - New Interview

Tim Dellor is a BBC presenter not a producer. He interviews who is put in front of him. It's not his job to go looking for interviews and do investigative journalism. It's a producers job to do that. So if people are looking to criticise, I'm not entirely sure why people are, who cares where intervi...
