Re: Michael Hector

Before i saw this thread I was thinking how long it would be before someone posted a "Hector was amazing, we don't need a new center back." All that based on one game!! We DO need another center back, of that I am sure. Actually, two games at centre back. He was equally assured playing in...

Re: Feel the Bournemouth Hatred

Proper away day! Poets Corner was the place to be, Still can't understand why they moved the game from a Saturday to the Thursday! We all went early and drank all day so there was bound to be a little laddish behavior. To say the pubs got "done" or "smashed up" is a slight exagg...

Re: Feel the Bournemouth Hatred

This goes back to the early 90s. Bournemouth was one of the first fixtures we looked out for and the South Bank would sing "6 weeks til Bournemouth, there's only 6 weeks til Bournemouth" etc and "if you're all going to Bournemouth clap your hands". It kicked off with them severa...

Re: BFTG - Leeds

Le Fondre needs an attacking foil. Cureton was at his best for Reading when Butler was on song. Forster was most effective up front when Rougier found a bit of form. Le Fondre is as close to a goal poacher as we have had since Cureton - but like Lineker, Owen etc, these players don't create goals o...

Does anyone know what type of football style we can expect under Adkins. I really hope we can take the transition towards more of a passing game a la Swansea.

Re: BFTMFG - Sunderland (H)

Still a bit worried that we look so vulnerable in a 4-4-2 but can't create shit in a 4-5-1 . Seems that we try and wear people out with 4-5-1 and then do 'em with the 4-4-2 with a quarter of the game to go - nothing wrong with this, but it'd be nice not to feel like vomiting by the end of a match. ...

Re: Cheers Shane

Has anyone seen the interview Brian gave on the OS talking about Longs departure you can see him well up and he looks like he is about to burst out in tears. He was obviously very close on a personal level and I think Shane stayed with Brian's family when he first came over from Ireland.
