Re: BFTG - Rotherham

On the Pen you won't be able to see it on any of the replays, but cooper poked the ball away from the Rotherham players control.

Think the yellow was harsh as it wasn't a theatrical fall, but the ball was taken cleanly.

Re: BFTG - Burnley

A better performance, the pitch is a oxf*rd mess when are Irish leaving? Mcdermotts getting closer to cracking what is needed, our midfield is poor without a proper DM as Norwood thinks sideways and Williams think forwards so there's not much protection of the defense (Hec is definitely a CB not a D...

Presumably all the land around the stadium, including the car park has been "Sold" in this window as well to account for Royal Elm Park.

Re: CONFIMRED - George Evans

Tshibolas a box to box, but he can tackle. Kuhl stays in midfield, but can't tackle.

That you've seen him make a tackle, and put his foot doesn't mean he's actually any good at it. He's committed but he's tackling it's usually a foul.

Re: CONFIMRED - George Evans

Zac, you're one of the ones with most insight to the youth players, what would you say Kuhl's position is? I always figured he's the type to sit deep and try to dictate the play in midfield, if I had to compare him to any player in the team I would argue he'd be most like Norwood. He's a quarter ba...

Re: CONFIMRED - George Evans

Where does that put Kuhl, Stacy, Tanner (when he comes back) in the pecking order for midfield places. No future at Reading? Well from what has been described of him, he's primarily a defensive minded central midfielder so that puts Kuhl at most risk, Stacey is a winger and Tanner plays in a more a...

Re: Alex Fernandez

Fernandez's ball retention is excellent, he always looks composed on the ball - the only time he gave it away last night was giving them kick off after his goal  Also a hilarious moment in the build up where a Huddersfield player tried to have a hack at him as he ran away so after passing ...

No, we'd have been unlucky if he only gave a yellow.

Like we were unlucky with the Ref on Saturday.

Re: Alex Fernandez

I have a vendetta against the Williams Norwood partnership, which is while they are individually good they are shit as a pair.

This guy needs a start. A three man midfield with Williams further forward dropping Piazon, or drop Williams and keep Piazon in. I don't mind which.

Re: BFTG - Huddersfield

It looked to us like the defender was forcing him wide before the foul, he certainly wasn't running directly towards the goal. I'm not saying it wasn't denying a goalscoring opportunity, but I'm not sure it was totally clear cut. The law is specifically written with the words 'denying an obvious go...

Re: BFTG - Huddersfield

Looked to us like he was running away from goal with two players covering. As I said, I've only seen it live and not the replays, so I could be wrong, but our initial reaction was we got lucky. He was running towards the goal. His slight turn away from goal was the shimmy (because he had the ball u...
