Re: FA Cup away day memories

Anyone remember non league Wycombe Wanderers away in 1976? Football hooliganism was at it’s height and the whole of Buckinghamshire, some Oxford, some Spurs and a sprinkling of various clubs turned up and beat the fcuk out of us on the terraces. On the pitch.......we lost again. Er, we won 2-1, I d...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Birmingham City (h) sponsored by Martin Hicks

This feels like a narrow loss....every time we get a good result we then have a couple of bad ones to drag us back down... I'd actually take a draw from this.

From Despair To Where? Craig Maskell I think, in a 4-2 win at Darlington in the early 90s.

Remember Kerry Dixon getting 4 at Doncaster (but we lost!) but before then I think

Re: The Local Journo Thread

Give him a little bit of a break, it's the middle of an international break. There is literally fcuk all to report but he still has to fill copy. And anyway, I would have thought an interview with the club captain that covers what has been quite a turbulent 3 months, even if it is through another s...

Re: The Local Journo Thread

So Low's latest news is an interview with Moore on a fans' twitter podcast..... It's about this guy went out there and got some contacts and some news of his own. He's a journalist - that's what he's paid to do. Quite honestly I, or any number of fans, could go out there and do a better job than him.

I was only 10 when Friday & Murray & co played....did this pre match drinking really happen?

I know things were different back then but pre match drinking seems to be pushing it....I always thought Charlie Hurley was quite a disciplinarian....

Re: Nostalgia thread

Just cleared out my mum's place....found loads of old programmes from the late 1960's and early 1970's.....Jack Mansell's programme notes are something else...not the bland drivel you get now; talks about life. politics, everything

PS for younger fans he was team manager back then

Re: Rival Watch

Genuinely can’t believe Preston are top of the Championship. Awful against us and not much better on the bits I saw on TV today But they won, completely irrelevant if they played well or not. We were very good against them and didn't let them have a sniff, we made them look bad and the team and man...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Millwall (h) sponsored by new manager bounce

Bigtimmeh So...does anyone have anything to say about Millwall? I'm interested to see how 1871 cope with their fans....

They've always played hoof pub football and with the new manager that's unlikely to change.

If we set up right this is as easy 3 points as it gets
