Re: all time playing record

Reading have lost more games in the FA Cup than any other team. P 396 W 163 D 97 L 136 F 661 A 598 at 136 you're probably right teams generally lose one FAC tie each season, unless they win the cup, and Reading have probably been playing in the FAC for longer than most teams Notts County are the on...

Re: Richardson out

Though that’s changing isn’t it - not filtered down through the divs yet but how many corners have Arsenal and Chelsea scored from this year? It’s all Arsenal seem to score… Obviously any average will have a couple of exceptions. Well yes, but you can guarantee every club in the league is watching ...

There's believed to be a bid on the table from a consortium of former players; assume Smee still around as who else has the money/financial contacts who played for us?

Re: Richardson out

Do we need to do the Arsenal strat and crowd the 6 yard box? Given we've started scoring set piece goals, and at a decent rate, I don’t see why we'd want to change Our corners are generally poor in my opinion. Savage and Wing can ping a good ball but we never seem to get any players anywhere near t...

Re: Richardson out

We've lost just 4 of 21 league games since LR took over. Having list 4 of our opening 7 under Noel Hunt. Up to 7th - and this having conceded three injury time equalisers in the last month (yes, I know it went the other way this weekend). Yes, Noel Hunt can take some credit for righting the ship se...

Re: Richardson out

Pretty sure Wigan fans said the football would be turgid until Richardson had had a pre-season to work on fitness/tactics, but they had an immediate uptick in results and stayed up, so seems the same is happening here. I can't see us in all honesty making the play offs but a top 10 finish is fine ba...

Re: Richardson out

We won the game without our main attacking players plus ended up with all the Jan signings bar Ward injured.

To get a win against a side in the play offs under those circumstances is pretty decent.

The Biscuitmen was dropped when Huntley & Palmers moved to Merseyside; feel we need to change the name but maybe to something new, maybe something to do with technology??

Met office weather warning in place in west mids for rain and snow later in week - no way this game is being played.

Re: Bolton fall out

We lost 3 key players to injury before the hour mark, that hugely impacted how the second half went.

We had next to no subs left before they had made any changes and played last midweek too.

Its hardly surprising they were much stronger in the second half.

Re: Fixtures 2025/26

Mansfield Town (A) rearranged for Tuesday, 10th March 7:45pm KO. This date may yet be moved back( maybe just a day) depending on when Mansfield are asked to play their FA Cup match. If they draw a big team they could easily be told to play Sunday or Monday. Mind you we were forced to play our FA Cu...

I read somewhere on X that we are the top away scorers in the league; if true, that's impressive given our general poor away form in recent years.

Re: On this day

Obviously I had to look up the results to get the exact stats but but I just remember it being a slow, laborious death of toothless attacking and porous defending. The team really reflected the absolutely shit state the club was in. The saving grace was that Madejski bought us in the April, saving ...

Re: The window closes at 7pm on Monday 2nd February

I wasn’t a huge Noel Hunt fan but wonder how he feels on all this support given to the new manager Yeh, either the money wasn't there at the time, while they waited for more investors. Or he got well and truly stitched up. Maybe a bit of both. Or possibly Noel didn’t really push his case or the pla...

windermereROYAL So, it`s gone very quiet, with Marriott and Keane on board do we really need him still here? no word from the club and I`d imagine Brighton aren`t too happy with him not getting game time.

Good move this, its nice some of the U21's are getting loans now.

Think Camara needs to go out too.

Re: Play-off/relegation watch.

tidus_mi2 Next 3 I think are going to be a big indicator of where we are, 3 teams struggling near the bottom, bang out of form, should be getting at least 7pts I would think.

Wigan will have Arsenal cup tie 4 days after too so that one looks winnable.
