Re: Rival Watch

Also strong rumours on the Exeter forum they'll've run out of short money in November. Most of their board has resigned (albeit no public statements yet). Seems to heavily relate to a tax issue where you have to pay the entirety of a transfer fee at the time the deal is done, even if you've not rec...

Re: Poll: Should Noel Hunt be sacked?

Final result of the Tilehurst End poll was nearly 86% in favour of change out of 950 votes.

RFC Latest have done a similar poll with 1407 votes 84% so similar to TTE.

Pretty conclusive.

Re: Hunt out.

We're becoming rather famous for being persistent with managers who aren't up to the job. Paunovic, Ince, Selles (who luckily turned it around) and now Hunt Did we do any better when Managers were lasting a year or so, even less in some cases? Yes, we may have in been in a higher League, but the re...

Re: Poll: Should Noel Hunt be sacked?

Time's up I'm afraid. The team has lost all its vibrancy from the last couple of years and as pointed out by others several players have regressed. Hunt is also regularly outperformed tactically by other managers. There's a similar poll running on The Tilehurst End.... currently 86/14% in favour of ...

Re: Hunt out.

No glimpses of improvement Yes - and a full strength team today, bar Williams; time to make the change now. We have a free hit next Sat then half a dozen very favourable looking fixtures, mostly at home, where I just don't believe Hunt will get the wins needed. We have a point a game and the excuse...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Exeter City (a)

What’re the odds the discriminatory chanting was from our y26 knuckle dragging contingent? Wnkers Good odds as the ref was pointing at the away fans and there has been anti Starmer and pro Robinson chants in here. Must have been something else....the Starmer and Robinson songs have been doing the r...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Exeter City (a)

This is absolute tripe again.

Back in bottom 4 as it stands, even with a point.

What does Hunt do all week with them?

Re: Hunt out.

If there is going to be a change, I actually think Steve Bruce could be an option. Certainly don't expect Ainsworth despite the fact the media would obviously install him as favourite for the position if it was available. Think my favourite idea though would be Charlie's dad with maybe Ritchie movi...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Exeter City (a)

0-2 defeat. Exeter start strongly and boss the first 20 scoring and missing several other chances; they score a second just before HT after we've had a short 5 min spell of being on top with the referee missing a foul in he build up. The second half is a non event with Exeter seeing the game out com...

Re: Hunt out.

There will be football people like Brian Carey reporting to Couhig saying its not working. I'd expect Hunt to be gone if we lose tomorrow.

Re: Injury watch 2025/26

Update from RFC Latest: O'Connor - possibility of involvement on Sat Garcia - 2-3 weeks Williams 1-2 weeks Camara ???? General question for those local.....have the pre-match press conferences stopped? Does anyone not club related speak to Hunt? Does Dellor still do post match interviews? I'd really...

Re: Injury watch 2025/26

Don’t know if it’s true but overheard someone at the Mansfield game talk about how they had seen O’Connor the week before outside a ground and he had told them that in coming back from his initial calf injury he had tweaked the other one. Yes - someone at Stockport said he'd had a set back and is u...

Re: Hunt out.

Genuine question. What exactly is it that people are seeing that can be attributed to Hunt’s ineptitude? This could be my limitations as a spectator, but all I’m seeing that seems to contribute to the impression of a poor performance, are mistakes by players. We are capable of some nice build up pl...

I'd like to see us try and have a run in this this season....the league looks done already, we'll likely pull clear of the bottom area but aren't going to challenge the top half.

Re: Jack Marriott / strikers

I've got results from 1871-2000 in a book by statto Alan Sedunary somewhere.....but it may be Marriott has the record now for games where the player started.

EDIT - a couple of Twitter stattos confirm he is the first RFC player to achieve a goal in each of his first 4 starts.

Re: Record Watch 25/26

That 13 wins will take some catching as its from the start of the season which makes it harder given sides are bedding in new players.....pretty sure the record for any stage of the season is 14 as can remember at the time we were very close to it in 1985.
