Re: Opposition fans back from the game

Barnsley Away: "Thoroughly disappointed with tonight. I agree that they were the worst team I've seen at Oakwell in quite a while and we still couldn't beat them." "Possibly the worst team i've seen at oakwell in years...The opposition run us a close second and still got a point with ...

Re: BFTT Barnsley

If I was a Reading player I'd be asking for a transfer, the team is a mess and my career would be going nowhere. Absolute shit-show.

What is our gameplan?!

oxf*rd hell.

Re: CONFIMRED - Charlie Adam

Something that's annoying me: "Charlie Adam played well tonight' Yes. He did. But he should be no where near the starting XI. HE CANNOT CLOSE DOWN!!! He's a liability out of possession and it's not the 1980's any more. At best he should come on in the 80th minute when were a goal down and that ...

Re: CONFIMRED - Mark Bowen

I was a huge Gomes fan based mainly on how he united the club. I liked how he wanted to do innovative (4-2-2-2) things; if you get to the premier league you need to be doing something a bit different, otherwise you'll likely just get beaten by better sides. However, I'm very surprised at the lack of...

Re: Manager v luck etc

Luck plays a part, but anyone who knows backgammon realises it's about mitigating for luck.

Was Gomes lucky? At the start, yes; arguably, very. This season, no; arguably very unlucky.

Re: GOMES OUT!

Wow, this is a tough one, the guy is a really likable manager and to be honest, he has done some really great work to date. His record at the end of last season was good, and he really got on board with the fans and pulled the club together. The fans seemed to love him (Portugal Day) and the player...

Re: GOMES OUT!

and that purple week we had a short while back against Cardiff, WBA and Uddersfield where the team played some great football. Watched all 3 games, results were purple. Overall performances weren't great, little to suggest that the players were comfortable with the game plan. Long periods when we h...

Re: GOMES OUT!

It's nearly always a case of 'the king is dead, long live the king' with managers, but I do think I'd struggle to get back behind a Reading team for a while if they sacked Gomes

Re: Gomes, Should he stay or should he go? Mk2

I'm absolutely certain Gomes will be a good manager, but he needs to accept that the 3 men at at the back are making one big error per match too many.

I was Rodgers in, Adkins in, Stam in and I'm Gomes in.

FTR, I was McDermot out, Clarke out, and Clement out.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Bristol City (a) sponsored by hopeless causes

Gang. I've had an epiphany. You know how our strikers would thrive on crosses but we have no wingers? .....................Cabral Howe, Miazga, Morrison, Richards Yiadom, Rinomhota, Pele, Obita ................Meite, Puscas Yiadom basically plays as a winger already, but is better defensively than ...

Re: The next 6 games.

It's not bollocks but is a flawed stat as it can be skewed by the match situation i.e. a lot of our high XG of late has been as a result of creating a number of late chances with all our attacking players on due to chasing the game, so isn't necessarily a fair reflection of how we are actually play...

Snowflake Royal
PistolPete
Snowflake Royal Always use your back up keeper in cup games so they've had some game time if they need to step in because of injury etc.

Ridiculous. Name me one time in the history of football when a keeper has come in and made a mistake that was definitely down to them being rusty.

You're weird.

Why is everyone/anyone putting Walker? He's not the kind of keeper who needs to be placated with starts. Cabral needs more games.
