Re: WiFi reception at the ground

Hendo
paultheroyal O2 never works until you are down to the roundabout.

Vodafone occasionally works inside the ground.

I used to have access to the hospitality wife within ground but that now seems to be turned off.

Found out about your at home wife?

Re: Next seasons kit choice?

Sutekh Decent looking shirt actually, miles better than the hideous contrivance they've had this season. If you want to buy one though, you can guarantee fans won't be able to pre-order until next season's about to start.

Summer breaks are needed alround I think….

Re: Ex Players

Despite what has allegedly been said by others before - i struggle to believe there is no sell on fee. That would be literally outrageous and a terrible piece of business. I would have to move on from Antonio in terms of worst ever transfer / contract scenario!!

Re: Ex Players

BBC reporting that any bids for Olise and Eze start at £60m with the next paragraph of interest.

Neither contract contains a straightforward release clause and any deal will be complex with percentages due to the player's former club, the players themselves and Crystal Palace.

Barnsley sack their manager. Rolling the dice with that action.

I will say it again - VAR should only be used for matter of fact things. Ball over the line, challenge awarded inside / outside the box, offside. Those decisions yesterday were all about opinion and pretty much everyone has one. Let's go back to what we know and pretty much has existed before time ...

Dirk Gently WRTTOP, when a goalkeeper makes a routine catch and throws themselves down on the ground, ball in hand. It seems to be endemic now, and serves no purpose I can see other than to waste time.

Agreed - my son did this yesterday

Re: The Non - League thread

Went to the Basingstoke Town game today, Paul Hodges for Basingstoke scores from 90 yards! Yep, that’s right, 90 yards. Off one post, hit the other and spun in. Sight to behold and he meant it. Hope there will be a video doing the rounds soon. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aM1Vv6KOC1o Great clip,...

Re: The Non - League thread

Totton and Eling ridiculous schedule in the Wessex League continued last night where they are having to play 12 matches in 26 days. Last night they were playing East Cowes Vics, they could only field 9 players where 3 of them were the backroom staff. They lost 6-0. They are away again on Thursday to...

Re: The 24/25 Season of Optimism Thread

For me, the most positive thing to come out of this season is the re-connection between the fans and the people on the pitch. We all know that you can't expect to see your team every single match, we do however expect to see effort and commitment from the players, and we're getting that now after w...

Re: The 24/25 Season of Optimism Thread

Benchmark for me are the Portsmouth and Bolton away games. What did they have over us, to turn us over so emphatically. Style of play? Fast wide players? Quality of player in certain positions? Match off against that with what we have now and we would be just fine, if we can find that type of player.

Up there with our greatest win and performance of the season, away game, and i take this to a 6 pager - unheard of! Brilliant first half, battling 2nd half with some fight, particularly those 15 minutes after half time. Well timed substitutions. Other bullet points to note. Wing is just a fantastic ...

Great voices from all the travelling Imps. Beggars belief how Reading are down at that end of the table Reading a good side especially out wide. Have to say Azeez is a real handful - can we sign him, or is he on loan from a higher club? Reading despite their place are pretty decent side with some c...

Plymouth Parkway have to play 8 games over the next 16 days. 5 of them are at home. Good chance tonight's game will be called off. I imagine they will be very careful in players they pick for these games to ensure they get the points needed to stay up. Tomorrow’s match postponed after today’s pitch...
