Re: Injury watch 2020/21

That appears to be a very precise diagnosis. Would be great if it's that or less but given the club's record on predicting returns from injury, I fear it may be longer. I'd take that. Looked to me like a fractured collar bone from the way he fell / held it afterwards which I'd have thought was 4-6 ...

Re: BFTC - Huddersfield

Really enjoyed that. First come back win if the season. Joao is to this team what Robin Friday was to the 1976 team - utterly vital. Part of the pleasure was the Hudds commentary. Made me realise how windbag the Berks stuff is, car park, pie, long journey, unfortunately , rhetorical question, to be ...

A bye is the only way we'll get through.

Can't see us picking a strong XI determined to get through this year!

Re: Opposition fans back from the game

Heathrow is our airport.

Lucky Luton will be moving to a town centre ground in the next couple of years, called the PowerDome or some such.

Re: The best game you've ever seen?

Thought that 4-3 was 3-2, great game I grant you. That 5-7 was an utter nightmare I never want to be reminded of. I’ll offer the 6-0 V WHU and the long ago 4-3 comeback v Plymouth which was actually terrible for the first hour. Elsewhere the miracle of Istanbul and Citehs AGUERRRRRRO win over QPR to...

Crikey I have been around a long time;but I had to look up Ron Tindall. And 12 goals in 36 games.Went on to play a lot of games for Pompey.Bit of a white flannel expert as well. That's right-Surrey (?) IIRC we bought Ernie Yard on the same day and they both played the next night. It was one of thos...

Re: How many Managers have you been through ?

You're both right. Where Cumming and Moreline (1970s) would have trained was the directors car park which was indeed right behind the Town End for as long as I can remember. The fenced hard court area behind the South Bank came much later - something to do with youth development in the 1980s - and p...

Re: Rival Watch

Old-fashioned perspective I know - but great to see the real Oxford club (City) in their natty blue and white hoops progress further in the FA Cup this year than those johnny-come-lately reprobates from up the hill in their ugly yellow shirts.

Re: What has changed so much from last season?

Lot of good sensible points I’d agree with, esp Joao fir, playing Laurenomhota rather than Swift at base of midfield, keeping. a settled team. But, and it’s not a nice thing to say, the absence of Gunter, McCLeary and Obita who all have seen too many bad times here, plus Blackett and Loader moving o...

Fox Talbot 1-1. goal from the 1960s, clever wing play hoick to far post header in.

pretty dire from what I've seen so far. in about 10 mins. Fox disappeared.

There's no commentary but there is a fox running up and down the far touchline (behind a fence).

Still one up.

Anyways ... This is the classic big away up north place we usually get nowt they’ll be looking to take us down a peg difficult match. Fancy yourselves Reading, do yer? They’ll be thinking. We’ll have to be right at it for this one and I’d take a point here we provid3d we get three v Cov. The downsid...

Second goal as brilliant and the first was a shocker!

Rovrum poor this half. Reading are a patient confident team it would seem. Not very exciting.

Ha! First chance!

Shocking goal from Meite. In justice .

This team is as good as 1985 at nicking results, let’s hope.
