Linden Jones' Tash I'm guessing its the return of hand sanitizer in the bathrooms...

Oh Yeah
Edward Woodward was great in that series; better than Denzel in the film version.

Re: Rumour- Chem Campbell permanent

It's a no from me.
I'd rather we got specialist FB's in, and pushed the likes of Garcia further up the pitch.

Re: Rival Watch

Really don't want Sheffield United to go up and finish 20th again. What's the point? I bet half their fans agree with me too. I've said this for a while, for the fans, going up is generally shit. The money is nice for the club. But after a few weeks, losing so many games is just a crap experience r...

Re: Squad for 2025-2026

The new recruits need to help us match teams at this level physically. Yesterday was another game where we were outmuscled. Completely agree that we need some bit beefy players to fight it out next season - we're quite a small squad who often just get barged off the ball 11 of these please… https:/...

Re: Squad for 2025-2026

Of those out of contract, who would you offer a contract to? For me: Goalkeeper Button - no Boyce-Clarke - no Norcott - yeah Rowley - yeah Fullbacks Garcia - yes, no brainer, at least 2 years Rushesha - yeah, squad depth Yiadom - probably not actually Clarke - depends on fitness Ryan - depends on f...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Lincoln City (h)

low energy, low quality, not able to make an effective change. sigh. The starting line up, as Suts pointed out, is down to Noel. The bold bit above is the legacy of how the club has been run, the consequences of having to choose from freebies and other clubs cast offs. That's down to those above Noel

Sutekh
Snowflake Royal That Wareham sub stinks of pre-planned around 65 minutes, and it should have been earlier based on game state.

Reading stink when WiFi is told to play through middle! This one’s on Noel.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Shrewsbury Town (h)

Absolutely no shape to the team, poor individual performances, they don’t seem motivated and I can see us losing it That accurately reflects where our club is right now. Forget the league position, The attendance, the spirit etc, mirror it. Perhaps the players have started to wonder if they are flo...

No chance of us going up at all so it’s just hanging in there this season til the clown sells up - if he ever does :o :o :o :o I don't even want to imagine how results in the Champ would be if we were somehow to get promoted with the current set up. The sale HAS to happen before even contemplating ...

Er, that’s not likely Can we have both teams to lose, please ? Agreed. Oxford, for my money, are a one man team tbh. Lose Brannagan and they fall apart. That said he has proved over and again he is ultra loyal. Joey Beauchamp was ultra loyal to Oxford, even when he did move he couldn't settle and c...

Re: Who do we want to play next season?

Definitely up for a schlepp to Barrow. I was also at that game in 72 at EP when vouchers were issued for the Arsenal cup game. 52 years ago. Yikes. So was I, AR. Over 11000 came for that voucher. Was the term "plastic" or "gloryhunter" or a 70s equivalent a thing then? Ab-so-blo...

Re: The 24/25 Season of Optimism Thread

For me, the most positive thing to come out of this season is the re-connection between the fans and the people on the pitch. We all know that you can't expect to see your team every single match, we do however expect to see effort and commitment from the players, and we're getting that now after wh...

Re: Wycombe will be culpable.

We trained in Prospect Park well into the 1980's Football was a different game then than it is now, with Sports Science, nutrition, better levels of fitness, and better tactics. Trying to do that on a park pitch is a big ask. With respect, you're talking about Reading as if we were still a top end ...

Re: Record Watch 23/24

Am I the only one who doesn't feel too strongly about the record? If we finish the season well and get taken over, I'll be ecstatic and I really won't care if Leicester take our record. Similarly in a dire 2023, it didn't keep me warm thinking "well at least Burnley didn't beat out record"...
