I don't believe there was one, but Gerrard had a superb first game getting forward, defending and scoring a goal, so he got my vote. Cashley was 'ok' but didn't look anything like the Chelsea left back we know who gets forward and puts the crosses in. Very average in a very below average England team.

You could argue a fit Ivar, Pearce and Mills is good enough, Gunnarsson as 4th choice cover maybe, but really we need 4 decent centre backs. Missmahwilly would be a starter along with Mills IMO.
