Re: World Cup 2026

Morocco win the U20s World Cup, beating Brazil and Spain in the group stage, France in the semis, and Argentina in the final. Missed that. It deserved at least a  from someone. Maybe, although it can come down to simply what players have developed earlier than others. Youth tournaments can b...

Re: World Cup 2026

Ireland are 2-0 up against Portugal at half-time. Would blow that group wide open going into the final round of fixtures if Ireland were to win.

Re: Players on international duty

Tobias Borgnis played every game for New Zealand at the U17 World Cup - losing 3-0 to Mali; 3-2 to Saudi Arabia and 4-1 to Austria. The New Zealand squad was mostly comprised of players based in New Zealand and/or the academies of Australian A-League teams. Only Borgnis and Alex Lienard (at Sunderla...

Re: Players on international duty

They really need to introduce some criteria for a player on international duty to qualify for a game being called off. It's ludicrous it can happen because a bunch of Unders with no prospect of playing in the League anyway are away on International duty. Something like the Trophy qualifying rules.....

Had to check, but he's still in the Saudi league with Damac - although he hasn't played since late September. Wonder if he's injured again.

Re: Ex Royals

Good luck to the chap in his new role. For half a season he created something outstanding, it’s a shame Dai had run out of money at that time, and then VP got found out a bit. But some of those teams he had to field second year….bloody hell. That team we lost 7-0 to Fulham with was as poor a side e...

Re: Rinomhota CONFRIMED

Not as old as I thought he was by now at 28. Yeah same here I was expecting a tired old 36 year old playing out his career here, but at 28 he's at his peak. Must've been like 11 or so when he played for us! A bit surprised that he's not wanted by anyone else, if he did well at Cardiff and is now in...

Re: Rinomhota CONFRIMED

I think he's a good signing. We know what he's capable of and I think it's a signing that allows other players (Wing, Savage) to play in their more natural position. assuming we have signed him to play in cm... I'd expect him to play there, especially with Yiadom now back (assuming we've had no new...

Re: FA Youth Cup 2025/6

Started slowly and Cheltenham were worthy of the 2 goal lead. Second half we were much improved and the injury for us at a good time as it led to a lengthy delay and shortly after we pulled one back. Credit to our 'keeper who made a brilliant save at 2-1, how he got fingers to it I don't know but t...

Re: Rinomhota CONFRIMED

Seen someone make a good point. He’s a Zimbabwe international and they’ve qualified for the Africa Cup of Nations - taking place between 21 December and 26 January.

There’s a chance we’ll lose him for a few weeks of that.

Re: FA Youth Cup 2025/6

Bit surprised to get back into this. Switching Fuller-Thompson from the left wing to striker helped a lot, as did the half-time subs (Adjei and Grant). Cheltenham still could've won the game themselves however.

The attendance ended up as 325.
