Re: The Non - League thread

Cirencester Town have asked for and received voluntary demotion from the Southern league. Looks like it’s the Hellenic league for them. ...seemed fairly obvious that they were in the cross-hairs for an enforced transfer back west : SL1S. Expect they anticipated and baulked at the eye-watering trave...

Re: Weekend Football

Winston Biscuit Sky Sports not even showing the Arsenal game? They seem to have the City game and Liverpool games on

TNT have it (TNT Sports 1). Sky have Man City-West Ham (Main Event); Liverpool-Wolves (Premier League) and Chelsea-Bournemouth (Football & Arena).

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

Howe originally said he hoped the deal would be completed by the end of May. There’s no doubt that things are progressing, but the football insider suggested that it would be another 2 months until the EFL approve the deal. If that’s the case we won’t be in a position to sign players etc. until the...

Re: Season Tickets 24/25

I know a couple of people that have renewed but myself and the majority of my friends will wait until the future of the club is secured. It`s doubtful you will get your money back if it goes tits up. This is my dilemma. Have been thinking about sticking it on a credit card to make it easier to clai...

Re: Rival Watch

No shots on target in a playoff final is criminal Can't recall Reading having a shot on target in their last time in a PO final either. Or Huddersfield if truth be told, hence why it was unquestionably the worst game of association football I have ever witnessed. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2017_...

Re: Rival Watch

Thought I would be bothered if they went up but I'm not. They will probably come back down. They probably will. I think their limit is very much that of a Rotherham or Peterborough - they'll not be able to progress much further than the bottom end of the Championship (unless they chuck a load of mo...

Re: Rival Watch

And stop Reading FC too. Really doesn't help us having Bolton in L1 next year. Don't think we are in serious contention anyway, unless we make some clever signings. Agree, can't really see us challenging until the embargo is lifted and that's assuming the ownership situation gets resolved before th...

Re: Looking forward to the 2024-25 season

After the League One play-off final - Bolton installed as early joint-second favourites with Huddersfield. Sky Bet Title Odds (at time of posting): ⋅ 3/1 - Birmingham ⋅ 8/1 - Bolton ; Huddersfield ⋅ 11/1 - Holywood ⋅ 12/1 - Peterborough ; Rotherham ⋅ ...

Re: Rival Watch

Bolton’s crossing is awful. The amount of chances they’ve wasted because of it must be in the double figures now.

blythspartan Bolton remind me of us under Stam. Oxford are deservedly ahead tbf and I see no way back for Bolton, but hope I am wrong.

Yeah. No drive, intensity or ambition.

Re: Berks and Bucks Senior cup 2023/24

The Berks and Bucks Senior Cup is for first teams, so obviously there is no rule excluding people who have played any number of professional games. Reading enter a youth team but that is merely a club choice. Found what it was: https://thetilehurstend.sbnation.com/2019/4/12/18307604/controversy-aro...

Re: Berks and Bucks Senior cup 2023/24

They were probably managing John Clarke rather than an injury. My MOM was John Ryan. Ryan had a good game - looked a threat going forward, great close ball control, as well as dealing with everything defensively. I can see why he was on the bench with the first team at the end of the season. The Ti...

Re: Berks and Bucks Senior cup 2023/24

2-1 54 mins 629 attendance - looks far more than that. F-T 2-1 Decent win. Maslow were improved in the second half. Seems to be no injuries tonight, which is important ahead of Monday.
