Re: Looking forward to the 2024-25 season

Ascotexgunner How many f*cking chances do Barnsley need? Bolton look a shambles at the back.

Too many as it turns out. Bolton didn't half make it difficult for themselves in the second half; still think they'll win these play-offs.

Re: Champions League, Europa League & Europa Conference League 23/24

Dortmund leading 1-0 on the night against PSG (2-0 on aggregate). Would love it if Dortmund won the Champions League.

Re: Looking forward to the 2024-25 season

Just waiting for Oxford, Peterborough, Barnsley and Doncaster to be confirmed now (could be 3 trips to S. Yorkshire, (Barnsley, Doncaster and Rotherham) not had that for quite a while). Seems like Barnsley will be confirmed tonight - 2-1 down on the night at half-time against Bolton (5-2 down on ag...

Re: Ups & Downs 23/24

Ark Royal Crawley 2-0 up at HT and well worth their lead. Great to watch and an excellent GK as well.

Noticed a certain Liam Kelly scored one of their goals.

Re: The Manager Sack Race/Merry-go-Round

Being reported that Hull have just sacked Liam Rosenior, which seems ridiculous, but nothing is surprising in football I guess. What were their expectations? They haven't been top half in the Championship since they last got promoted to the Premier League. Finishing seventh was a great season for t...

Re: Squad Watch 2024/25

Seems to be a lot of noise around Craig, coming from the charity box dippers. Looks like he maybe out of contact soon, hoping we have an option. Excellent this season and lots of progress ahead. He is out of contract in June, I think we are supposed to have an option, and we'd be mad not to try to ...

Re: The Academy/Development squads watch thread 2015//16

Royals and Racers Full QF draw
Tottenham v Liverpool
Arsenal v Chelsea
Reading v Notts Forest
Sunderland v West Ham

I'm fairly confident we'll get past Forest, especially having gone 2-0 up at their place and seemingly battering them in the replayed match (0-0 draw). The U21s are unbeaten at home this season as well.

Re: The Academy/Development squads watch thread 2015//16

Royals and Racers Fulham saying today that tonight’s winners will be away to Reading in QF.

The winners were Nottingham Forest - winning 2-0.

So we'll be hosting Nottingham Forest, presumably at the Madejski Stadium.

Sunderland beat Wolves 4-1 - so far all seven teams through have been the side that finished higher up the table.

Re: European Leagues Thread 2012/2013

I can see the Roma game being trickiest, as their opponent needs to go all out to win, and Leverkusen don't need to. I'd say Roma would be their hardest remaining game on paper (even including a potential Europa League final) as well. If Leverkusen are 1-0 down with ten minutes to play again them, ...

Re: Ovie Ejaria

Imagine it’s the club looking after his welfare and letting him train to get fit rather than having intent to sign him. Wish him all the best, however his future lies away from Reading. I wonder if that was part of the termination agreement - he can continue to train at the club's facilities until ...

Re: European Leagues Thread 2012/2013

Leverkusen equalled Benfica's unbeaten record with a 5-1 away win at Frankfurt - 48 unbeaten in all competitions. They were unplayable yesterday and with Bochum (a) and Augsburg (H) to play, you would be a brave man to bet against them completing the league season undefeated. You would also expect ...

Re: Rival Watch

Would perhaps be a different story if we fell even further and Oxford had another L2 stint. A bit of success at that time could see some growth, and we all know success brings fans. But they've just got such a big mountain to climb. I appreciate back in the early 90s we were down at about 3/4/5 tho...

Re: Ups & Downs 23/24

Bromley won the National League play-off final on penalties following a 2-2 draw with Solihull Moors. Got to install a grass pitch in a very short window. Hope they can install the current 3G pitch somewhere else. Does seem a bit mad as they got that pitch less than ten years ago! I can't imagine t...

Re: The Academy/Development squads watch thread 2015//16

I was sat within earshot of Mr. Carson yesterday. Apparently Selles’ plan for the left back spot is to make a senior signing, then have Mola covering both full back positions and Dorsett covering both left back and centre back. Seems sensible to me. Mr. Carson thought if Matty could be a bit less r...

Re: Rival Watch

Echo IR's sentiment that basic lessons of geography put a cap on what Wycombe can achieve. Relatively small town with London and bigger clubs nearby; I don't keep who they're kidding with all this talk of shooting for the stars. A few years in the Championship is the best they can hope for. Realist...
