Re: Ups & Downs 23/24

No - it's the same format as has been in place since 2000-01. It's still one table: https://spfl.co.uk/league/premiership/table Lol. Never knew this was a thing! The 'table' option on a google search splits it into 'Championship' and 'Relegation' groups of six. Final 5 games instead of 11!? Would t...

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

Someone on Twitter has mentioned that this has happened 3 times in the last 23 years and that on 2 occasions it was due to a change of ownership. Articles of association are "written rules about running the company agreed by the shareholders or guarantors, directors and the company secretary&q...

Re: Ups & Downs 23/24

I've only just noticed this - is it the first time the SPL has split into two halves for the final five games of the season? Also - with fixtures for this 'second phase' not set until the top and bottom six were decided, it seems a little silly of the SPL not to have set Celtic v Rangers for the fi...

Re: Next seasons kit choice?

morganb See the Women's team wore the old home kit on Sunday against Watford, didn't know if they'd also be in next season's kit after Saturday's reveal

Can't imagine there would've been enough of a supply yet to do that, especially in the correct sizes.

Great result. All Ipswich need to do now is not lose against Huddersfield and they'll be up regardless of what Leeds do against Southampton.

Re: The Academy/Development squads watch thread 2015//16

Liverpool's website suggest their Round of 16 play-off will be played between the 3rd and 6th May. I'm guessing the play-offs are being played over the bank holiday weekend.

Re: Rival Watch

Seem to be some strong rumours about that Jonson Clarke-Harris will be signing from Mansfield. Have absolutely no interest in us signing him esp as he is allegedly after big money but that could be seen as a bit of a "statement signing" from them if that is true. Seems to be a typo, so fo...

Re: 2023-24 L1 Table Prediction Competition.

I make it 39 points, but did it a bit slapdash. Thank you. So that's roughly sixth. Our 'hive mind' was fairly good this season then. And factor in two of the three worst performers were an alphabetical list and a randomly generated list with Reading moved top and Oxford bottom. Not sure I've got t...

Re: The Academy/Development squads watch thread 2015//16

Related to S Hodge? It’s Bradley Hodge- and not a lot about him anywhere. Possibly interesting they he has been named for the several matches he has now played for us - so could he have signed ? He's officially just down as trialist so I would say not. Do we know where he's come from? Has he or is ...

Re: 2023-24 L1 Table Prediction Competition.

We were probably the biggest wildcard in hindsight. Totally unpredictable. Then you always get a couple surprise packages like Stevenage and Orient plus underachievers like Charlton. But the top 2 wasn't very surprising, the playoffs involve all of last year's play off losers and the bottom 4 provi...

Re: Goalkeepers

You can judge keepers qualitatively on points won and lost and how many matches they define. For Button, I can only think of one positive potentially match defining save. Against Wigan when we were 2-0 up, Abbey gave the ball away for a 1 on 1. Button saved, game could have been very different had ...

It was apparently 1,752. So you’re pretty spot on. :)

Re: Goalkeepers

OK just seemed you were fighting buttons corner. About the comparisons I don't think anyone has been saying one is significantly better than the other have they? i mean they are both middle-of-the-table league one standard keepers, nothing more nothing less. If we had a bit of wiggle room in the tr...

Re: Goalkeepers

Maybe. But we are not talking Liam Moore here on 35k pw. Although he might be our top wage earner it is still modest for the league we are in. There might be someone willing to match his wages. It won't be especially modest for L1, we're still going to be one of the higher budgets in the league. An...

so what's your point Clyde? I'm not sure what you are getting at. is this your round about way of saying button should be number one despite your stats saying there is basically nothing in it? My point is a case of who would people prefer plays. I'm in a mixed view as to who should be number one, b...
