Re: Cisse to Bristol City....

Cisse's alright. But as a midfielder the game passes him by too easily and his passing isn't good enough. As a defender his heading isn't good enough. I think he might actually perform quite well as a full back though... not agile enough. centre back, yes. if these rumours are true and we get 500k ...

they knocked back alan curbishley wish fills me with much joy. curbishley apparently thinks the premiership is where he deserves to be.

Re: Alan Pardew

this has been the talk since the march time, maybe earlier. the new owners somehow felt he should've done a better job. i thought he did a great job last season considering, and this season i think he'll take them up automatically. new owners with some money and big ideas isn't always a good thing.

Re: Next Seasons Kit

like the away shirt, but it's a little rugby looking. nice though. good work slammed. that would be a nice home shirt if that's what it is. is there a back panel on that?

Re: The new season

I did see the second half, yes, but I also saw the first half. long will only ever be an average striker. he has some good games, but more often than not, he's pretty poor. this is his make or break season! church yes, very impressed with his movement, and this could be the season to really make his...

Re: The new season

we need to move the likes of cisse, cummings (i know need a miracle) and rasiak out and i think we should look to fund a proven prolific striker from the onset although I have high hopes for noel this term yeah agree with that. hunt for me is the best of our strikers, but its his long term fitness ...

Re: Injured Players

If McAnuff is still with us. QPR friend of mine thinks they will sign him next week. If they do we ought to be able to siphon off enough of that to get a decent replacement at the price they'll have to give us. Even taking into account a lot will go into our £3.5m hole. you do talk some utter drive...

Re: The new season

we don't have a 20 goal a season striker. agree with sigurdsson putting a few away from midfield, but there's isn't enough goals in us imho. we're good, but not good enough. time will tell.

Re: The new season

If we can hang on to the current squad, perhaps adding a decent CB (like Zurab) I quite fancy us to win the league this season. Don't think any side stands out as better than us though expect Boro, Forest and Leicester to challenge. as bold statements go, that's right up there. who are going to sco...

Re: Robin Friday's memorial tree

Was speaking to a Cardiff fan I know and I reminded him that it will 20 years in December since Robin died. I suggested that we should try and get something organised for when the teams meet at the madhouse as he was voted player of millennium at both clubs. The club probably won't want to know, bu...

Re: Best world cup ever?

Ok so it started terribly but this World Cup has got better and better. We've had great goals, drama, unpredictability. The question is, is this the best World Cup ever? it has to be mexico 86. the previous tournament in spain in 1982 ran it close imo, and was amazing in itself, the football was fa...

Re: Fabio Capello still England manager

interesting and unsurprising that terry, lampard and cole were all discussing international retirement 'during' the world cup because they weren't happy with the management. good players or not, they're a hindrance if the reports are true that they weren't complying with capello's instructions. any ...

little early to make these predictions isn't it? but in terms of our chances, top half but missing out on the top six.
