Re: Golden Gamble

I won a signed football last season on the GG. After spending about an hour trying to decipher the signatures I put it in a cupboard. I won a signed ball in a raffle once. Didn't want it but seemed a shame to throw it away. Put it on ebay and got about a tenner for it, and some abuse from Southampt...

Re: F.A cup ticket sales

T.R.O.L.I. Probably £15 - think that's the minimum charge allowed as part of the competition regulations for rounds 3 and 4.

Whilst I think £15 is fair - I think it's disgusting that the FA impose a "minimum" charge.

Re: Reading Buses Boxing Day Surcharge

Svlad Cjelli Would you volunteer to give up your boxing day to work for an extra £20?

A fair question - but a better one would be why aren't bus drivers given contracts that state that they have to work occasional bank holidays?

People still need to travel around on public holidays.

Re: Stevenage Tickets

Allocation rules say it's 15% in the FA Cup, so the probably is the whole away stand unless they can sub-divide it and the concourse in some way. Interestingly, though, yesterday's attendance vs Newcastle was only 6,644. According to their official website, it was sold out.. So perhaps some people ...

Re: Stevenage Tickets

Visiting supporters are situated in the all seated South stand behind one of the goals and from here you'll enjoy a fantastic unobscured view of the playing surface. The leg room, facilities and refreshments afforded inside are very good as you'd expect from a relatively new ground. The low roof al...

Re: Blackpool's ground

Blackpool are the only PL club not to have undersoil heating. Fulham were the last, and got it put in last summer. PL rules are vague - they stipulate something like that a club has to have adequate facilities such as undersoil heating but it's not an absolute must have. If however games are getting...

Re: Reading Buses Boxing Day Surcharge

Bit of a monopoly for them really as there was no trains so people have no choice, £1 extra is ridiculous really Personally I think that for some guy or woman to give up their bank holiday to drive me to the football, £1 extra is a bargain You make it sound like a chauffeur who's volunteering for t...

Re: Safe-standing areas - TIME FOR ACTION

I love people using the Torquay "incident" as examples of how unsafe terracing is.

Maybe I've got it wrong but I thought 3 bricks gave way and one hapless supporter was left with bruising on his arm.

Re: Reading Buses Boxing Day Surcharge

Got caught out by this one from Shire Hall. Now I have no issue with the drivers being paid overtime and so they should but three buses making what three trips each I doubt if the drivers got paid that much at an extra £1 per person. Do the sums. The powers that be want you to use public transport ...
