Re: BFTG Millwall

Except we don't have two fit strikers?

Am I the only one who blames the board for this run of form? If our only proven striker is out injured surely we're going to stop scoring goals. It would've been the case at any point last season too.

Re: Digital Screen at Madjeski

Are you seriously expecting anybody working at Reading FC to have the slightest hint of common sense? These are the same people who have paid DJ MEGAPARTY for the past 2 years and continue to play that awful goal music

Re: Heightened Security Measures

What's the point of searching everybody before the game when people are able to exit and re-enter the stadium freely during half time? A complete waste of time if they're not going to do it properly.

Wing backs provided the width needed to break Fulham down. Only trouble is that they can't cross.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Queen's Park Rangers (a) not sponsored by opening day depression

Everybody looked off the pace. Which isn't surprising given the shambles of a pre-season

Blackett in particular was very poor

Re: Hammond vs Tevreden

RE: transfers - Hammond seemed reluctant to sign foreign players (understandable given past experiences tbh) and I think that held us back a little bit in his final years. We weren't able to compete in the domestic market with some of the ridiculous transfer fees. You can't judge them on transfers a...

Fits the system, reasonably young, reasonably proven at this level. Thumbs up from me :!:

Who was the last Reading FC manager to get a contract extension? Was it Coppell?

Re: Danny Williams - Huddersfield

Hoffenheim fans called him the "Struggle Pig". At first I had no idea what that meant. It makes more sense now. Lots of hard work, but little end product.

Re: AAH to KSA?

AAH - good shot stopper but poor distribution
Williams - hard worker, good defensively but average passing and slightly lacking end product

Both fantastic Championship players, but their weaknesses mean they aren't the best fit for Stam's style of play

Re: New pitch

Our pitch is partly synthetic. I believe "re-laying" the pitch in previous years has involved ripping up the real grass and just implanting new synthetic fibres whereas this time we're digging the whole system up and putting in a completely different (newer) one

If the game had been abandoned when it should have been in the first half, would we still have had to pay for another ticket?
