Re: MATCHWATCH : Blackpool (a) sponsored by Dylan Kerr

Anyone care to check the rainfall level for that particular date? Only rained the morning of the game but very heavily which was the issue. I think constant light/medium rain would be ok, there was a real deluge around 10am on the morning of the game that killed it. The pitch was already suffering ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Blackpool (a) sponsored by Dylan Kerr

NewCorkSeth Not to poke my nose in but doesnt sandy soil drain faster? Hence if the ground is near the beach that would likely aid with its drainage?

And the stadium’s pitch is a lot higher than beach level

Snowflake Royal

Snowflake Royal JDB

not

JvdB

Well that is just blatantly incorrect. Look at every Dutch player ever with Van/de in their name.

WTF are you wittering about?

Yeah, what he said.

So should Hertz Van Rental should be known as HvR?

Winston Smith Hinton gets up from his seat, opens a door and walks out only to find he has walked into a stationary cupboard

Can't be arsed to read through all this but has anybody bothered to point out that cupboards don't often move?

Re: Reading fan hit by seat - thrown by Reading fan

I think I used to stand on the South Bank very near Mr Twin-on-the-right-of-the-photo. We never got hit by any low flying chairs in those days. The most violent thing I remember happening under the South Bank clock (not a euphemism) was some people nearby always brought along a big bag of torn up pa...

I'm an ex Season Ticket holder (now live in Bournemouth and work in Milton Keynes) going to watch my first live match of this season. Son of BDC is accompanying me to help identify the strangers on the pitch. Apparently the players are "working very hard and doing really well in training"....
