Re: Hunt out.

I’m not calling for Hunt to go - but I am betting increasingly concerned by our ‘second ball tactics’ we seem to have, especially at home. We don’t dictate games, teams play through us. I’d hope this long break means we can work on not being a second ball team - which I currently think we are. IF S...

Re: Hunt out.

I'm the same, we've looked flat all season and we have players with ability. To be honest it was similar last season we just managed to get the odd penalty or we had Bindon and Mbengue to bail us out or Nigel Gibbs to support the coaching team. We don't work the opposition goalkeeper enough and now ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Port Vale (h)

Snowflake Royal Great performance, hanging on a bit at the end, but first win, first clean sheet.

Great press, great energy and pace. Lots of chances. Just need to start converting a few more.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Port Vale (h)

Important to get the first win but damn that was one of the worst games I've ever seen. Watched better quality games at Maidenhead and Woking than today.

I can't stand this referee. Thinks we're all there to watch him today rather than a game of football.

Re: Matt Ritchie

I don’t think that’s a narrative that sticks tbh. We’ve made some fairly ambitious signings, and got some highly rated loans in Tbh I don’t agree with all the transfers or rate them all but it’s a squad we should be challenging with I know you have shown yourself in the past to be very optimistic w...

Re: Confimred - Matt Ritchie

Surprised it's a 2 year deal. Think this is an excellent signing though and will definitely help through some of the youngsters

Re: MATCHWATCH : Port Vale (h)

Good to see the valiants visit us again back in this league following their relegation. Won't be an easy game but definitely a chance for MoM to get his first goals for us.

If we don't win this I think the players will get a lot of stick.

Re: Hunt out.

Unfortunately being a league one club we're a loaning ground for clubs in the premier league and championship to loan us their youngsters so they're going to make a lot of mistakes. Take Burns and MoM for instance we just have to be patient with those players.

Re: Hunt out.

It would obviously be a stretch to say Hunt is a top tier tactician. But I think it would be foolish to ignore the qualities he does bring to the table. He adores the club, and that breeds a valuable loyalty and sense of duty that would be difficult to replace. He is also incredibly personable and ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Wycombe Wanderers (a)

As good a performance today was it concerns me that we have played well a couple of times and we've not won. If we had a decent forward we'd have scored a couple more and killed the game off.

Really need a win next week. 4 consecutive home league defeat run needs to end.

Re: Hunt out.

Hunt is getting shown up where he's inexperienced. He had the luxury of knowing the players when he took over as manager but many of those players have gone and he's never built a first team squad from scratch before. He's never been one who I have thought highly of his substitutions whereas Selles ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : AFC Wimbledon (h)

Booing always helps new team of youngsters improve. Top work. It's senior football and we're losing at home to relegation favourites. Get used to the pressure. I wasn't there but I can't say I blame anyone for booing. We've looked flat all season and clearly well short of our best. The players and ...

retro royal Do wonder if Hunt's being set up for a fall, was that a vote of confidence in the week

Would be so typical if Hunt was sacked and replaced with Gareth bloody Ainsworth
