Re: BR Leaves Club

The best xmas present I could have wished for. The guy has been an absolute disaster along with the 'lord Lucans', Austin and Lampard. I reckon the post match interview with Dellor on Radio Berks was the final nail in his coffin--an absolute PR disaster. Shame Madjeski can't go as well. The club is ...

Re: Get some perspective

When the bench handed that piece of paper to Pearce on Tuesday that finally put things in to perspective for me. What a totally inept and useless Management team we have and that Rodgers is clearly out of his depth!!

Re: A Shift in the General Feeling?

My feelings have shifted from a sense of excitement, anticipation and a 'dawn of a new era' at the start of the season to one of total despair and astonishment at how quickly things can change from the success of two/three seasons ago. I am appalled at the direction the club is going and I think Mad...

Re: FAO Rodgers 2

Might he have played Gunnarsson because he's the sort of player that should be able to cope with a physical side like Crystal Palace? ...just trying to understand the change. I think the idea of playing Gunnarson and Cisse was to have two defensive 'holding' midfielders so as to give Marek a free r...

Re: The centre back problem

O'Dea was looking a very accomplished player until he fell foul of the Rodgers tinkering was was forced to play left back against QPR and Routledge who was on fire at the time. I still think he should be playing possibly with Mills or Ingimarrson. Pearce has no pace and looks petrified with the ball...

Re: Loan line

Maybe we will be forced to do what used to happen in the good old days before the loan system existed and place a good old fashioned centre back up front as an emergency striker. Remember Steve Hetkze anyone. Didn't he score 10 0r so goals in one season playing up front.
Come in Mills or O'Dea!!

Re: Simon Church

Nah, it's impossible given they're on the same number at the moment and Church has looked fair to very good in all his performances, compared to Rasiak looking to ok. Rasiak holds the ball up better, is better in the air and is a better finisher than Church and certainly hasn't been 'shit to ok' in...

Re: 30 years ago today

I was there and I'm sure it was John Alexander who scored 4 goals against Grimsby IIRC. Have great affection for trips to Brentford--easy to get to and pubs at each corner of the ground selling good real ale. Always friendly banter with the locals and games by and large entertaining with a few goals...

Re: I ENJOYED that.

I'd say it was shocking finishing that let us down. No chance had with the goal. Only criticism you can make is having no one on the far post, but Tabb did have a player to mark so no blame for him. No chance for Fed and Sigs man had to get that exactly right to score. Most improvement and best per...

Re: FAO Rodgers

Are we so desperate that we play the smallest player in the squad who is a left sided midfielder at right back, to link up with our star left sided 'winger' from Watford!! This most be the worst strike force I have seen at Reading for many a year. You get what you pay for and Rasiak was woeful, lack...

Re: What do we expect?

More entertainment and more shots on goal. I didn't expect much with the 'kids' to be honest as most of them were plying their trade on loan in League 1 and 2 last season and although showing glimpes of promise are not up to Championship standard. I expected Matejosky to shine and come in to his own...

Re: Back from the game: QPR v Reading

A total embarrassment and it could have been 9 or 10. Felt sorry for Tabb, a left sided midfielder who was playing at right back--what was that all about?? Our midfield was pedestrian and lacked any pace and I'm afraid Macanuff is eveything that the Watford fans said of him. Federici looks slow gett...

Re: Shaun Cummings

This guy really looks out of his depth and his positional sense of play and tracking back are woeful. To be honest though, the current team looks ripe for relegation whichever players/formations are used so perhaps it is being harsh to single out Cummings. We must have the worst 'attack' in the divi...

Ideal
Mad Dog's Ghost Yep, he's only had £3m.

£2m of which he blew on a defender who can't get into a dreadful side.

Grrrrrrrrrrrreeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat signing!!!

Agreed moneywise, but not as bad as Cummings--the MK Dons fans were spot on with their assessment of him and Howard isn't far behind.

Re: Back From The Game - Middlesbrough (H)

Highlight of a truly abysmal afternon's entertainment was the Delia impressionist on the pitch at half time. BR has to go. The man doesn't have a clue and you can only play one up front at home if you have a experienced half decent striker in the first place. Church is not up to this task, and Cummi...
