Re: Club 1871 - the What, When, Where, How, Who & Why Thread

Over 500 season tickets sold so far. Decent. Lets see how many of those 500 are still there when we are 22nd after 3 months of the season. I for one have given up my ST in favour of the mighty forest green rovers. On the basis of last season I'd expect the numbers to rise to well over 500 if that w...

Which they had to give away free beer for thus costing the club even more money. They are only there for another few games though, the nightmare will be over soon. Or maybe the beer has been provided by a sponsor? When I go to an MLS tailgate there is always beer and other drinks provided free by b...

Re: Club 1871 - the What, When, Where, How, Who & Why Thread

Club 1871 were horrendous again on Saturday but decided to give it the big I am afterwards on social media claiming credit for the victory more or less. The phrase 'sing when you're winning' has never been so apt when it comes to them. Why are you such a sad and bitter person about a group of fans ...

Re: New Manager Press Conference 12pm today

I know it's a forum for opinion but I've never such rubbish about how bad/in appropriate/poor the new, as to yet be appointed manager, is. Frankly anyone who takes the RFC job at this point should be applauded. The whole club is a mess - so, you expecting Pep to become manager? Get real. And if it i...

Re: Season Tickets 18/19

On the basis I had a bets on RFC winning the league, coming top 6 and even top half, I've now balanced that with lumping some on going down at 9-1.

Re: Gourlay

He'd be best advised to keep his head well below the parapet at the moment because the last time he spoke in that car crash interview with RBBCB he sounded as if he knew nothing about the club, its history, heritage or how to run a Championship club full stop. He's happy having pictures taken surrou...

The Informant Someone will mate. People who dont want top tier.

On that note though, I wonder how many dutch fans will pop over for the game.

Hope so.

Interesting question - not many I think as the price will put them off. Compared to Dutch football these prices are stratospheric.

Re: Where are you drinking? - Play Off Final edition

If we have the same pubs etc as Arsenal game its Alsop Arms at 10.30 for beers then pitch up to Torch at 1ish for the atmosphere (queue for a beer there last time was painful) so will do all my drinking at Baker Street. Sorted.

Nameless Academy players have agents too. That's how come someone like Tishbola decides they fancy a move.....

Exactly. Don't go banging on about how few academy players are in the first 11 when the first chance they get to go - they go. Tish, Hector to name but 2. HRK? well probably not a good example.....

Re: BFTG Birmingham

Just caught the extended highlights. Looked like some very promising stuff that wasn't quite there to come off. Some shoddy defending too that thankfully we weren't punished for. Interesting to see Evans looking like he was playing as a CB in a 3-4-3 / 3-6-1 as people had noted. Looked like progres...

Re: Why are "we" booing players keeping the ball?

So we know the style of football Stam wants, a possession based game....whether we like it or not that's the style we are going to play What hacks me off though is our own fans booing when the ball is being played around the back (looking for the opening) - i noticed yesterday that as soon as the f...

Re: Pre-Season, my thoughts

[quote="Haag Royal"]I agree with a lot of what you say. But I think we may lose a few more players before Sept 1. I asked Ladbrokes for odds on us losing both Norwood and Gunter before the end of the transfer window and they wouldn't give me odds.....so add Williams and Obita to that and I...
