Re: MATCHWATCH : Luton Town (h)

Tbh I’ve no real issue with hoofball. Quite often more exciting and dynamic than the overdone play out from the back etc Obvs it has its limitations but I’d rather go forward directly and quickly (albeit with the correct profile of player) than continuously passing it backwards. Man City were one o...

Re: Rival Watch

With a table like this, it's another reminder that it's nonsense to have 4 relegation spots. I assume it dates back to regionalisation, with 2 into the northern league and 2 southern. But it's been national for ages and should be 3. It looks like a relatively good team could finish 21st on 55 point...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Luton Town (h)

Good win. Wilshere looks to be building an attractive footballing outfit, with some lovely passing movements and interplay. I think that will prove to be a very decent 3 points. Wish we could get a manager to build an attractive footballing outfit, instead we have someone wanting to play football f...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Luton Town (h)

My main frustration is the inability to pass the ball forward when we have the ball in midfield, too often we check and pass backwards in those positions instead of driving/ moving the ball forwards. Dorsett being a prime example, always goes backwards as if he's been told not to cross the halfway l...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Luton Town (h)

STAR newsletter this week We have the Christmas game this week, I have already heard a lot of fans saying that they won't be attending. Please reconsider, the club have put a lot of effort into making the evening as fun as it can be. We know that Santa and his reindeer will be in the Fun Zone where...

Re: Richardson out

Also, let's be clear. His record is P5, W2,D1,L2 It's hardly awful, even if the football has been. Now if when he gets to 10 games under his belt and we haven't got at least 4 wins, he's clearly not going to last the season beyond miraculous signings saving the day. Because the next 5 games include...

You would of thought we were playing at Barcelona.
His comments and excuses are as bad or even worse than the football!

Re: MATCHWATCH : Bradford City (a)

As if the result wasn't bad enough, Richardson's after match comments are outrageous. "We have got a lot of youthfulness and players who have been to Valley Parade for the first time, you can't get away with that. Maybe 60/70% of our players have never been here, never played against the likes ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Bradford City (a)

Tbf based on who we signed I’m not especially optimistic And now we are scrabbling around at the bottom of the league it’s going to much harder to entice a player of a sufficient ability to join. Had we been knocking on the playoff door we could have potentially brought in a much better calibre of ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Bradford City (a)

No biggie really. Away defeat against a likely autpro side. Couldn't really expect more. The real (and only, so far) calamity was the awful last game, which is still shocking and indefensible. You've obviously accepted that we are a lower end/ relegation threatened league one club, to be honest, I ...

Re: The worst performance since........

Thing is there is a difference between worst performance and worst result, yes, that play off final v Udders was bad but we never lost over the ninety minutes, a positive result usually disguises a poor performance but there is nothing worse than losing with a poor performance.

Just a tiny bit more enjoyable than catching your foreskin in your zipper, but at least it wasn`t cold. :D :D And if you missed the Carlisle horror show, this was a pretty good imitation of it. Yes I missed that thankfully, i decided after last night I`m done with evening games, at least if we lose...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Peterborough United (h)

I do find the conclusion that this dreadful performance means Hunt should have stayed/wasn’t to blame an odd take. He basically signed half of this side and we’re trying to recover from the mess he left Still can’t get my head round how bad we were, esp second half. But also just exactly what LR wa...

Re: Rumour - Benn Ward

Let’s be honest he’s a non league player in the last 6 months of his contract if we decided to go for him in jan I can’t imagine the fee is going to be more than what, 50k? If that. I know couhig is tighter than a Scotsman but if we want him, and it means we don’t miss out on him surely we would mo...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Blackpool (a)

Ritchie suspended for this one ? Ritchie was booked v Rotherham I think. If that’s correct he will be suspended for this game as it was his 5th booking of the season. Reading FC current player discipline table: Player - #of bookings Daniel Kyerewaa - 5 (suspension served) Matt Ritchie - 5 (1 game s...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Rotherham United (h)

Seven places higher, yes. Not sure what your point is, you could jump up 5 or 6 places with a win in this league. Peterborough beat 2nd place Stockport the other night. Don't see where a point at home to a team with 4 extra points is a good result. Sure but I said much higher in the table and seven...
