We were the only club in the championship to do the twenty is plenty. At a time when Leeds were charging £39. And he did pay for coaches for some of the long away trips.
If we'd lost 1-0 at home to Fulham instead of 2-0, we'd have stayed up. Then again, there's dozens of small instances which in isolation all seemed so insignificant, that would have made the difference between staying up and going down. This. Or lost 2-1 at Fulham instead of 3-1. The annoying thing...
Can’t believe today 14th was 30 years ago we won 3-1 at Tranmere, in the first leg of the championship playoffs. Brilliant support that day packed the away end. Happy days.
East Grinstead Royal Yesterday was also the 24th anniversary of the play-off first leg away to Wigan. I know this because I had a prior engagement that day!

Out of Birminghams 34 wins 21 were by one goal. Against the mighty Cambridge, Shrewsbury, Crawley and Lincoln ect. Our 106 season eight were by one goal. In a league that contained Wolves, Leeds, Leicester and Southampton.

A 3-1 defeat leaves the Royals outside the playoffs. 2007-8 Whilst Reading thrash Derby 4-0 a late goal for Fulham...

Thank you for posting that. It’s really sad we don’t have a blue plaque or something something to remind people that’s where Reading played for 100 years.l know Coventry City have a really nice monument to Highfield road.
