Re: 2011/12 DVD

I figured it would go the other way TBF, and that the club would order too many and ending up selling them for knock down price around xmas time. I was actually looking forward to picking up the DVD for a bargain £5. Guess that won't be happening then.

Re: Chelsea and Sunderland Away

Upper Tier, Row 3 for me.

If it's true that we've only sold about 1,500 tickets that's a bit disappointing, but I imagine sales will pick up as the season approaches/once it has started. Or maybe people are just put off by the ridiculous prices.

Re: Tense, nervous headache?

I guess I see it in the same way as I currently see Christmas - we're not into the festive season yet, and I'm simply not that bothered about Christmas. Doesn't mean I suddenly have no interest in Christmas, because when December comes around, I'm sure I'll start to feel all festive again. And I'm s...

Re: Chelsea and Sunderland Away

In for chelsea. Forgot that i was eligible to get my tickets yesterday, but wasn't really expecting it to have sold out overnight so no harm done.

Only offered me upper tier though, so presumably we have sold out lower tier already.

Re: The Premiership Fixture List 2012 - 2013

jonboy29red i take it the fa cup is not the end of the season again

FA cup is penultimate weekend of the season, hence why we have Man City at home on the Sunday that weekend

Re: Green park station/south Reading station

Pretty sure when i last got the train through reading, the signs at the station said "connecting Reading to Green Park".

It made it seem like part of the whole station renovation was actually supposed to incorporate a new line to Green Park/Madejski. Unless i was completely mistaken...

Lot's of small inflatables, or one large one? I'm thinking the time spent blowing up a 6ft tall champagne bottle could be better spent at the bar consuming beverages...

Re: Question

Ian Royal If it's not decided, it'll depend on whether they'd have a ceremony at St Andrews or not. If they would, probably some where central with a helicopter. Unless they have more than one.

Probably somewhere central, as in between Birmingham and Southampton. May as well just leave it in Reading then...

Re: Bitter Swindon and Oxford fans

Fair play to Oxford - some of their fans are happy to see us doing well. http://www.yellowsforum.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=fldiscussion&action=display&thread=8879 'kin' 'ell! One of them seems to think they'd be in with a chance of getting MaccyD in as their manager if we struggle and h...

Re: Plans for Saturday

Reading town centre should be one helluva party on Saturday night, regardless of the Saint's result. If anything, it would take the edge of things if Southampton dropped points and we won the league without kicking a ball. Let's wrap up with a result at Brum. 8)

Re: Humble Pie

Who knows? I genuinely don't think that many were on their way out, maybe Kebe would have gone, but I wasn't overly concerned. If we'd lost Brian to Wolves, that would have been a different story altogether, so undeniably, the Russian money kept Brian at the MadStad, ergo Russian money got us promoted

Re: Humble Pie

TBF, before the announcement of the Russian investment, our previous 11 league matches had yielded 24 pts out of a maximum 33. Sorry to go all Snowball on you but at 2.18 points per game, that would have resulted in a seasonal points haul of 100.36 So yes, there can be no question that the Russian i...

Just always seemed to be grayed out online when I was looking for tickets before they both sold out. Well that was an embarassing waste of my first ever thread. To give you some consolation, the South Stand was always grayed out when I looked online as well - I was wondering if/when they were going...

Re: Promoted next weekend

I'll gladly take 3 points on Tuesday night, but I suspect that we will have to delay the promotion party until Palace (which is my preferred option simply because I'll be able to go out into Reading afterwards and have a few bevvies without worrying about work the next day!). The police may be line...

Re: What have you liked most about this season?

Being on the pitch at 5pm this coming Saturday, players on the balcony, chanting M-U-R-T-Y. But seriously, for me the most memorable thing has got to be that surreal feeling of watching the TSI takeover unfold. It was just bizarre watching those events unfold at little old Reading. And on the pitch,...

Re: Promoted next weekend

I can't see Wet Sham dropping points at Brizzle, although Brizzle will obviously be fighting for their lives, so it's not a straightforward one for Wet Sham. Like all true Reading fans, I am more concerned about whether we will oxf*rd it up by losing to Forest and Palace and taking it to the last ga...

Re: Season Tickets 2012/13

LOL I agree with you! I was just asking as this is what I had been told, apparently would have been the seats we have had allocated for next season, along with the ST which would supposedly have been sent straight out. Think the guy had had a few too many to drink after a round of golf but that's a...
