Re: When will we sell-out?

The only reason i raise the surplus ticket issue is that Swansea say that "all tickets will be sold a block at a time under instructions from the football league" On the basis that we sold 14,000 v their 8,000 on opening day, i just thought we might be able to use some of their spare ticke...

Re: When will we sell-out?

I think most STH will have bought tickets yesterday, so i don't think we'll sell too many more today. There should be about 20-25k on sale to member card holders on saturday, so a mad scramble on saturday am. I'm guessing about 5k left on general sale which will go on monday or tuesday. If we sell o...

Re: Club wembley

OK yeah it's making sense now, i just couldn't work out why only some of our level 2 seats were shared facilities with swansea, but now i can see from that map that there are 3 entrances (1 reading in the west stand, 1 swansea in the east, and 1 shared bobby moore entrance. Presumably though, you ca...

Re: Club wembley

The bit i don't get though is why blocks 240-245 share an entrance and a members area with swansea, when blocks 245-252 are clearly in the reading end, and surrounded by readings fans above and below. Why would swansea have tickets in the middle tier, behind our goal?

Re: Final tickets

If it helps, i know at least 2 people with member cards who aren't going. My ex who came to one game ever, and one of my mates who is a spurs fan but would rather earn double time on bank holiday - the saddest thing is that he used to be a season ticket holder with me for 3 years when we were in div...

Represent a bereavead family at an inquest, possibly appearing on tv trying to look sombre whilst containing my inescapable feelings of unadulterated delight which will of course be massively inappropriate

Re: Cardiff predictions

My heart says 3-1 on Friday (let's give Harte a pen, Long a header, then we start to relax and somehow let that oxf*rd welsh oxf*rd pull one back, before Kebe gets a late break away goal). The return leg is all very nervy, first half goalless, cardiff go 1-0 up on the night early in the second half,...

Re: SJM interview with BBC

Doesn't surprise me in the slightest. I'd like to think the sigi money would have plugged a whole, but i suspect that week in, week out, the club probably still runs at a loss. It's been said before, and it'll be said again, but i'll say it now for good measure, the running costs of the club are sur...

Re: Excited?

I am more excited by these play-offs than i was a couple of years ago. In 08/09 we entered the play-offs with an air of disappointment because we really should have sealed automatic. It also felt like being the ex-prem team that finished 3rd we were favourites. This time i think we're going into the...

Re: Is this going to be...

To be fair, I'm really grateful we're not Millwall, Leeds, Burnley, Hull or Forest right now. Or Sheff Utd, Preston or Scunthorpe for that matter. :D 'greed. Today was disappointing but now we can start preparing for the play-offs. We're virtually there now, so let's be thankful for that. We can sa...

Re: BRING. FEDS. BACK. NOW.

I think Feds and McCarthy are both top keepers, but for now keep Alex in the team. One bad result after such a good run is no reason to drop anyone. Also as its such a crucial stage in the season I'd consider bringing in anyone who hasn't played in a couple of months (particularly where GKs are con...

Re: BRING. FEDS. BACK. NOW.

I think the difficulty that McD faces is that if we were to get to an extremely high pressure game, i.e. the play off final, you would want your most experienced pros in the team, and it would have been a huge risk to keep mccarthy in when he has no 'big match' experience. If we had kept on winning,...

Re: Sheffield United Match Thread sponsored by Chris Armstrong

Legs' first league loss... And McCarthy's. I'm hoping that this was our end of season blip. If we'd put in two performances like that in the play-offs, it would be all over. I'm hoping we can rebuild, try and finish as high up the league as possible to ensure a home advantage, and then carry a bit ...

Harpers So Solid Crew feckin hell, is our GD good enough to secure the play offs?

Probably not. 6 points between us and 7th, with only a 7 goal turnaround needed on goal difference. So i wouldn't feel safe just yet, but we're almost over the line

Re: Sheffield United Match Thread sponsored by Chris Armstrong

At least we know that there are goals in this game. I'd be more concerned if this was a 0-0 stalemate. From the sound of the first half, i think we will have plenty more opportunities to go out and win this. It's a shame norwich and cardiff are winning, but a lot can change in 45 minutes, so i'm goi...

Re: Sheffield United Match Thread sponsored by Chris Armstrong

Paul Cowin Swans have regained their 2 goal cushion, we gotta do the same

'greed. Sounds like we're on the ropes a bit at the moment.

At least we're still ahead and norwich are dropping points, so we're now only 3 points off 2nd place.
