Re: MATCHWATCH : Stockport County (h)

I voted a win but would definitely take a point, didn't realise how strong they are away from home!

Re: You can’t say I didn’t warn you!

I'm just assuming brogue has a suit of ai bots scouring the internet 24/7 for any tiny scrap of info he can post up on here and shout "Seeeeeee! I told you Couhig/Trosclair/Jacobson/Richardson were shit!!!!1!!" Yeah feel the same, would rather hear if this is good/bad/indifferent news fro...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Burton Albion (h)

Also looks like they lost first teamers Tyrese Shade and former Reading youngster Terence Vancooten to injury yesterday, no idea if they'll recover by Thursday.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Burton Albion (h)

We might be 10th currently but insanely we are only 3 points above the relegation places. Any team that goes on a bad run is in big trouble, and we need 4 points minimum i reckon from these next 2 home matches to keep our recent momentum going. Yeah, there are a few gaps emerging, the current group...

Re: Opposition fans back from the game - 24/25 page 225 onwards

Fair enough, I thought they also took 'covering players' into consideration but that may just be pundit bollocks. Either way it was a dopey tackle that he arguably didn't need to make. Like with most rules it's subjective and down to the referee's discretion. If a player gets hauled down halfway in...

Re: Favourite Reading game?

Speaking of Millwall games, that 5-0 with the Convey break from their corner was pretty good. My mum took us on holiday and that was the one home game I missed all season. Was going with my Dad and his mate at the time and I got stick the entire season for missing that one. Still surreal how we wen...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Peterborough United (a)

Their recent form is very good, would be happy with a point but have a feeling we might get the win here. Hopefully we've got good plans for January because it feels like Top 6 is up for grabs if we have a good window.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Plymouth Argyle (a)

What a bizarre 2nd half, looking so fragile against 10 men despite being 3-0 up, concede a goal then a penalty but then Joel saves it and Dan K missing a sitter to make it 4-1.

How in the World are we threatening to throw away a 3-0 lead against 10 men? Seems so Reading FC.

Re: Favourite Reading game?

3-2 vs Boro 6-0 vs West Ham Highlights of our greatest ever season 3-1 vs Liverpool, obviously a bit of a downer as it's the relegation season but still fondly remember the crowd basically ushering Harper into the goal for the third. 1-2 vs Arsenal just for the equaliser, maddest celebrations I've b...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Plymouth Argyle (a)

2nd worst away record in the division vs 2nd worst home record, but they have been improving so not confident at all. Would be happy with a point.

Re: Rival Watch

WestYorksRoyal Vale getting cut adrift and Doncaster dropping like a stone. I think that'll be 2 of the bottom 4. Won't try to guess the other 2.

Looking at form, Rovrum, Mansfield and Wimbledon really struggling right now.

Re: Rival Watch

Hunt deserved to be sacked for drawing at home to Donny and looking shite while doing it, they are atrocious and already 3-1 down to Plymouth. Hoping this isn't any indication of how Plymouth will be on Boxing Day.

Re: Rival Watch

It is starting to look like the top 6 are pulling away from the rest of the division, Stockport hold a 3pt gap ahead of Luton in 7th, 5 of the top 6 have a game in hand and Barnsley in 8th have 3 games in hand!

That said, Burton currently beating 5th place Stevenage away.

Re: Rival Watch

With a table like this, it's another reminder that it's nonsense to have 4 relegation spots. I assume it dates back to regionalisation, with 2 into the northern league and 2 southern. But it's been national for ages and should be 3. It looks like a relatively good team could finish 21st on 55 point...
