Re: Everton (h) match thread sponsored by Chocolate Eclairs

We get on the end of so many corners with no end product, it's so frustrating to watch. Especially as getting set pieces seems to be our main tactic!!! That was quite a hard one for Legs admittedly, but it happens far too often.

Re: Scapegoat of the week Award thread

I'm with Gazzer I'm afraid. Lot of love for Jobi but he just seems to need one touch too many in the PL, he never seems to be ready to play a pass/put in a cross and then when he finally gets it out of his feet the opportunity is gone. And Harte is slow, but I don't think he had a particularly bad g...

Re: Rivalry

I would argue that 52.2% of fans believe that geographical proximity is the cause of their main rivalry,34.7% blame it on history whereas 8.2% think it’s down to league position.

Went to a few before it but the main one I remember was Pants day. Didn't really understand what was with all the underwear but found it all incredibly amusing.

Re: Church to Ipswich on loan...

Always felt that Churchy has been a victim of our style of football. His runs, imo, are very well timed and into good areas. But with us getting it to the wide men and pressing the box, the aren't often met with the type of pass he would be looking for. Very much a striker who aims to attack through...

Re: New restrictions

Come from Henley way and drive in with my old man. We get a parking permit every year and share the driving duties between four of us. Used to sit in the hotel for an hour before and quite often after the game to let the traffic die down. What's the Jazz Cafe place like? I presume thats mental as we...

Re: 2012-13 season previews

Agree with most of it tbh, although I think he's a tad harsh on the midfield, especially Guthrie. Didn't go to the friendly (no plastico), but from what I saw of him at Newcastle and Bolton, plus the reports from pre-season, I think we'll be getting enough creativity to add to the hard-working team ...

Re: RUMOUR: Jordan Rhodes

Signing a lower league player for peanuts and seeing him come good, i.e. Doyle/Long (alright they were from Ireland, not lower league) in a relatively low risk strategy is nothing like demolishing our record transfer fee for someone without any PL experience. They want silly money for a lad with no ...

Re: Antonio off to Wednesday

Good luck to him, hope we have some sort of sell-on/buy back clause. Think he could turn into a pretty tasty footballer now he'll be settled at a club and getting first team football.
