Re: MATCHWATCH : Bournemouth (h)

Quick go at the ratings, good to do tonight 10 McIntyre 9 Morro Richards Rino 8 Ejaria Swift Laurent Holmes Rafael Joao 7 Olise Semedo Meite Esteves Yiadom Aluko Agree with most of this although would push Morrison up to a 10 too, neither him nor McIntyre gave Solanke a sniff tonight, excellent, Mo...

Re: The generic transfer thread

West Ham have now got Benrahma on a permanent deal which has paved way for the loan signing of Lingard

I’m surprised they haven’t added a striker to their ranks yet, with just Antonio there with the departure of Haller. With the position they’re in, it’s a risk relying on someone so injury prone

Re: LOLiverpooLOL - Next Season

Oh and Matip is definitely made of jelly beans. Ankle ligaments this time. FSG surely have to sanction some sort of centre-back signing, even if only a loan - Fabinho apparently likely to miss the West Ham game, where Liverpool will have no choice but to field Phillips and Henderson at the back. Ph...

Re: SpuROFLs

What was Dire doing not clearing that ? And I haven’t misspelled that I can defend a number of players and at least see their attributes but apart from “versatility”, I don’t get what he offers I’m astounded he’s played at a top 6 club for seven years now and is a regular for the national team. I j...

Re: LOLiverpooLOL - Next Season

Exactly the sort of game Liverpool needed to regain confidence, a game where the opposition effectively gift you three goals Don’t think their performance levels were particularly bad in their winless run but they couldn’t get the ball in the net. Playing a defence with Dier and Aurier I suppose is ...

Re: SpuROFLs

Back seven of

Lloris (getting older and a lot more error prone)

Doherty (not good enough)
Dier (not good enough)
Rodon (not good enough)
Davies (not good enough)

Winks (not good enough)
Hojbjerg (decent player)

Think you can see where the issue is - especially with Kane going off injured

Re: MATCHWATCH : Bournemouth (h)

Jlow confirms that Meite and Yiadom are back for tomorrow, and Olise is fully fit. Obvs that is hardly a 100% cast iron guarantee but looks good Will be nice to have more sub options than the usual ones of Esteves, Baldock and Semedo etc. Can tell Pauno doesn’t quite trust the bench options too muc...

Re: Rival Watch

Still got to keep a close eye on Blackburn who have Luton (H) on Saturday before a favourable run in February, think they only play one team in the top 10, and that’s Watford (H) - a side who generally struggle away from home Indeed but even if we only pick up 1.3 PPG from now on (essentially W1 D1...

Re: January window

Jokull Andresson returns to us after a solid two games in goal on emergency loan to Morecambe, looking at the goalkeeper situation I can honestly see Southwood being released at the end of the season, Andresson and CBC are younger and appear to have greater potential. Our keeper situation is a bit ...

Re: VAR

Main talking point tonight of VAR was from Old Trafford. Must say, it’s nice to see the boot on the other leg for United - on the other end of dubious decisions. Not too sure about both the incidents themselves but personally didn’t think there was much in it on either I do think that the outcome sh...

Re: Weekend Football

There's some real cognitive dissonance from West Ham fans on social media about Moyes - fans who can't hold their hands up to being wrong about the chap and who are actively talking down their results still. Best one I read last night was '10 wins this season. Bet we don't win another game. Moyes w...

Re: We're ManchesteROFL United, we do what we want

Tonight’s the exact sort of game why I don’t envisage United winning the title In the likes of Pogba, Greenwood, Martial, Rashford, their players just aren’t consistent enough on a week to week basis. Personally think Cavani should be playing as he’s their only real conventional striker, I know Unit...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Bournemouth (h)

Think the lack of form was the reason for the strong side last night - seen as a chance to get a win under the belts and come into the game against us with a little more confidence. If ever there was a game calling for us to score early this is it as could decimate whatever confidence they do have....

QPR have signed Johansen on loan

Decent signing that, QPR looked in trouble at a point but bringing in Johansen and Austin is good business

Re: The Manager Sack Race/Merry-go-Round

Surely Steve Bruce is next. Not sure who would take that job though. Rafa? I'd love Rafa to go back there and take them down. Thought he did an extremely average job last time, but their fans worshipped him. +1 to that Newcastle’s main criticism of Bruce? Defensive, dour football Benitez’s style :?...

Re: Weekend Football

Moyes has put together a really good side, four straight wins in the Prem and up to 4th

Possibly over reactionary but can’t think of many better midfield duos than Rice and Soucek

These roundabout managers eh?

Rafael Holmes Morro McIntyre Richards Laurent Rino Olise Swift Ejaria Joao Southwood Yiadom Meite Aluko Baldock Esteves Gibson Semedo Tetek Proper options on the bench and nearly full strength first 11 Yep loads of options on the bench. We would then only have three out through injury one of whom (...
