Re: Weekend Football

Fair play to Man City (can’t find a single thread for them) - had written them off after last season and the start to this one but they’ve been magnificent since Christmas time Not blowing away teams like they used to with plenty of 1-0s but their defensive record is superb (again, credit to Stones...

Re: THE BETTING THREAD

Anyone else play the “Beat the Drop” on Paddy Power? For those who don’t know what it is - there’s 12 Yes or No questions you have to answer, you start with a budget of £1,000 and you can split each question accordingly (50% on yes/no, 80/20 etc etc). It’s free to play, but I can never seem to get ...

Re: THE BETTING THREAD

Hendo Tempted to do the 0-0 challenge for the Euros.

51 games, no 0-0s? Possible?

For context there were four 0-0s in Euro 2016

As an aside, aren’t some of the games played at the same time so may not be possible to do each game?

Re: LOLiverpooLOL - Next Season

Henderson out for 8-10 weeks which is more damaging news for Liverpool

With more and more injuries, you have to question their chances of hitting the top 4 although in theory they do have two routes as they’re pretty much through to the QF of the CL too

Re: THE BETTING THREAD

Starting the 0-0 challenge again, just for fun... 1. £10 on Arsenal v Benfica at 1/20 What’s the 0-0 challenge? Start with £10 and bet on games not to finish 0-0. Play with your winnings and try to get to 100 (or as far as you can before you take the money and running). Sounds simple but you usuall...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Wycombe Wanderers (a)

He's making them, yet to see him learn from them. Yeah this. It’s all well and good saying “oh it’s better to make mistakes now”, well true, but what’s to say he doesn’t keep making them? Pauno has definitely deserved until the end of the season, but at present we are the architects of our own down...

Re: Rival Watch

probably 2 from 4 for the final play-off spots now. a real dogfight, we`re not completely out of it, but even if we fail it`s been a vast improvement on previous seasons. could be an exciting last couple of months. Still can’t really rule out anyone from 14th/15th below given the inconsistencies of...

Re: Rival Watch

Yep, happy how that panned out tonight. No wiggle room now, sometimes a big gap can lead to things being too comfortable. Players need to react now else we'll be playing catch up very quickly. I doubt that very much. Paunovic will probably move the players around to get more of Ejarias pointless sh...

Re: Weekend Football

Hope Oxford come up. Would be great to have that game to look forward to Kassam to County Ground = 32.9M Kassam to Madejski Stadium = 25.4M The true massive rivalry would be back on! +1 to that - not many other teams near the top of L1 which looks a particularly appealing fixture, I suppose anyone ...

Re: Weekend Football

Good recovery from Bolton, albeit League Two is very tight - they went from 19th to 9th by winning four consecutive games, and are still only 10 points ahead of Stevenage in 20th. There's always a very weird symmetry to the top of the table right now. Every team down to 10th is 1 point behind the p...

Re: Weekend Football

Cardiff are on one hell of a run here  Also Southend beat 2nd placed Forest Green away, having also recently beaten 6th place Newport and drawn with top of the league Cambridge. Bolton also really turned their season around in the last few weeks. They were scrapping near the bottom of L2 for...

South Coast Royal
Oh for a winger to get in behind when the other team are defending in numbers.

Agreed, Aluko took on his man a couple of times and crossed it in but it wasn’t nearly enough

Wonder what Hound thinks to your point

Re: The Manager Sack Race/Merry-go-Round

Lennon resigns as manager of Celtic. What a shambles they’ve been this season. Surprised he lasted that long to be honest, going from a period of such strong domination to something like 18 points behind. In his defence, it must be difficult to motivate the team to an extent, their seasons do prett...

Re: Rival Watch

I'm all for a Cardiff win now. The added pressure of someone right down our neck might actually kick the team back into gear. IIRC we’ve dropped out of the playoffs for only one match day so far this season (between Brentford and Luton) After that, we went on a solid run, with a record of 4-2-0, so...
