That is fcuking disgraceful https://twitter.com/jmac_urz/status/1767661591548334389?t=keY1krJBLhN7wkxRoyrKDA&s=19 Gayle should get a 3 game ban for that It looked soft from the safe standing in real time. That's a joke. https://twitter.com/jmac_urz/status/1767661591548334389?t=keY1krJBLhN7wkxRo...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Derby County (a)

Just wonder how much all this has got to the players? Its one thing after another... I fear a bad defeat tonight. Carlisle gave me hope we wouldn't see what we saw last season - no wins after the points deduction loomed. BUT we were always likely a wobble - young, thin squad, tough fun of games in ...

Re: The phoenix club thread

Completely agree that AFC Reading would be horrible. 1871 Reading would be good, a permanent reminder of the original club. I certainly understand the feeling that it wouldn’t be the same club, but giving up following football seems like allowing Dai to win. The best possible response, if Dai cause...

WestYorksRoyal Take inspiration from 1860 Munchen - 1871 Reading?

Delboy Next protest needs to be outside of Chinese embassy they can influence Dai and would not be happy at him embarrassing them

For any 6 pointer not featuring us, the best result is normally a draw. Fewer points, spread evenly.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Carlisle United (a)

Made a weekend of it. So whoever recommended the Settle-Carlisle line gets a gold star, just bliss. For all the moorland, the best bit was up in the Eden valley and snow-capped hills looming large out of the cloud. Like a fantasy film. Walk down to the ground - lovely old fashioned one. Huge suppor...

Re: Record Watch 23/24

If someone equals the record would goal difference be taken into account ? We don’t sing, “We’ve got the record, 106, with a GD of 67” Because we hold the record outright. My specific question was whether if two sides achieved 106 would the side with the better goal difference be considered the rec...

Re: Bolton (A)

Bolton is a local line from Manchester, may be Oxford Road and Victoria rather than Picadilly.

Re: Bristol Rovers (A) - DATE SUBJECT TO CHANGE

Somewhat restricted, but no worse than Portsmouth by the looks of it. Still surprised it's so much cheaper, especially as the terrace doesn't have a roof on it IIRC. I usually go for the terrace when it's an option, but decided to get a seat for this one. We appear to have sold around 660 tickets t...

Easter Monday, big allocation, cheap tickets and I hear Bolton has a particularly vibrant Latin quarter.

Re: Bristol Rovers (A) - DATE SUBJECT TO CHANGE

Any idea likely week the rearranged game could be?

Guess it can't be the 26th or the 2nd April, due to Easter, so that leaves 9th, 16th and 23rd. Bristol already have the 16th booked with a rearranged game vs Cambridge.

Re: Club 1871 - the What, When, Where, How, Who & Why Thread

I was at the Rangers-Ross County game last Wednesday. The Rangers equivalent behind the goal were highly impressive: singing for the whole ninety minutes; almost no repetition of songs; were loud throughout the game and the events on the pitch had no impact on their support. Would be good if Club 1...

Anyone who can stay up after 40 pints is doing exceptionally well

PV fans I've met have all been good lads, the last one bought me a pint for RFC fans contributing to that statue.

But tonight, a win takes us to touching distance of 40 pints and we won't need too many more than that to stay up*.

Telly's a fan: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6EmrGSqteGo Spent the Sunday having a wander around, decided to catch ferry over to Ryde and back, then a slow train home. The little stretch of raiwlay line from Harbour to & Southsea is a treasure - overlooks the historical, the great and also Dav...
